One Easter egg you either missed or thought wasn’t Easter egg worthy is that one of the goat fish is named “Mona Lisa”. You can hear in the scene where Luca’s rounded up all the goat fish and he’s talking to them.

Actually, the motor scooter wasn't invented in Italy Scooter-like traits on motorcycles first developed in Munich, Germany in the 1900s. Then in the 1910s, the Autoped became a thing and were produced on Long Island in NY. But the Autoped didn't have a seat. Then in the 1930s, a division of Northrop Aircraft (now Northrop Grumman) in California started production of a scooter with a seat above an enclosed drivetrain. However, the Vespa was the first scooter that was popular all around the world, because of that movie.

I have a theory: At 6:44, what if Luca and Guilia were not watching the moon landing? Maybe the 2 photos are actually not from the same time, but rather one photo was taken earlier than the other, like way earlier. The photo on the right may not actually show them watching the moon landing, I think they are instead watching Alan Shepard go into space as the first American in space, on May 5, 1961, 2 years after the movie supposedly took place in 1959 (according to Wikipedia and Enrico himself). This would make sense as Luca and Guilia, who are 12 and 13 in 1959, respectively, would be 14 and 15 in 1961. Additionally, the rocket Luca is holding also kind of looks like the rocket Shepard flew in. The moon landing part of the photo may have been taken 8 years after the right photo was taken, making this more logical. This is just my opinion from a guy who watched Luca 22 times in 18 days (June 18 to July 5).

The dive suit right hand cannot be simply removed. A diver with missing limb would wear a prosthetic. Most likely one made of wood. It's no different than the movie "Man of Honnor"(2000) where the diver has lost his feet.

the nemo octopus thing is wrong! The octopus is inspired a common story of Tellaro, in Liguria, where Luca is set. You can actually find enabled plates similar to the ones you can see in the movie. The story is about an octopus that saved Tellaro from a pirate's attack by ringing the bells on a steeple near the see!

Fantastic movie, I'm Italian and I loved it at 70 years old. AND, I have a Vespa. Time line for Luca. In Guilia’s kitchen is an old, tube radio from the 1940s. The Vespa logo as shown in the movie began in 1952, and carries on today. The movie Strada was done in 1954. The Fiat 500 with front opening, suicide doors the policewoman is ticketing ended production in 1965 (later ones opened at the rear). The moon landing Luca and Guilia are watching was in 1969. And, there wouldn’t have been an Italian policewoman before the mid 1960s, and certainly not in the 1950s. So, I’m calling the time period of Luca as shortly before the moon landings in 1969 since the two are still quite young, middle school age. Two other things none of the 'all the easter eggs' that I have watched missed is Joe's hat from SOUL in Alberto's light house. Also, to PIXARs, and the three 'inclusion strategies' folk listed in the credits, there are three disabled/impaired kids in the movie that appear over 30 times, a boy with a crutch, a girl in a wheel chair and another girl with a brace who points to the boys swimming in the water and asks her Dad 'papa, whats that?' Kudos to PIXAR.
