My word… the iPhone 13 Pro Max is flexing like crazy when it comes to battery life. Since owning this thing I’ve never had to worry about charging it with my usage habits (& I’m a heavy user)!
@supaahflyy
@supaahflyy 2 жыл бұрын
I'm a pixel 4xl user and it's notorious for bad battery life but seeing the iPhone 13 pro max blew my mind how good battery life is. I waited for the pixel 6 pro enthusiastically after hearing a massive 5000mah cell which I couldn't believe Google finally decided not to skimp on hardware. Unfortunately the efficiency with a first generation processor isn't there just yet. So I held off on upgrading. I'll keep charging my 4XL 2-3 times a day until next year 😂
@MrSamPhoenix
@MrSamPhoenix 2 жыл бұрын
@@supaahflyy whoa, you have to charge several times a day? Even with my “older” iPhone 12 Pro Max I was getting decent Battery Life, only having to charge maybe twice a day. But with this iPhone 13 Pro Max, I have to try very hard to drain the battery. I maybe was able to get close on a constant 12 hour usage day when I got it down to 11% from 100%. But yeah, I guess the other guys will have to work on their SOC designs for better efficiency. It’s not enough to make these things fast, but the phones also have to sip power while being fast.

it's also flexing it's price tag like crazy. my wife got the 13 pro max which is almost the double the price of my Pixel 6. The Battery performance seems similar on both phones. Even though I'm more heavy user than her, we get about 55-60% at the end of the day. plus she has the brightness way down. Pixel 6 is definitely the bang for your buck phone 2021.

@@desirewithinus So your wife is draining the battery of the 13 pro max faster than you on your pixel 6 and you aare a heavier user than her? Yeah something is a bit off with your comment considering 13 pro max can get easily 70 to 100% longer battery life than pixel 6 especially if use less

I have both a Pixel and a iPhone and well this comparison is a bit unfair. The AOD were left on, on the 6 and 6 pro which will drain the battery faster on standby. The P6 and P6Pro are limited to 22W charging, not the advertised 30W plus all the pixels have adaptive charging. Finally the Pixels have adaptive battery which give them better battery life in time. So yes the iPhone *won* per say but the Pixels are not as bad as presented.

I just got a pixel 6pro... 1:42 on a 30w brick I picked up from Amazon. Ironic, same time for the wireless charging pad I also picked up. I believe that was Max at 15w. Adaptive battery charging make a huge difference in charging speeds on the pixel pro

You've kept the always on display enabled for pixel 6 and 6 pro that is not fair and definitely is the reason why they did not last that long.

The battery life of iPhone 13 pro max is really impressive. I had a vacation in my Grandma's house I stayed there for 3 days. I left my charger at home. None of my cousin uses iPhone so I don't have a charger. I arrived with 65% Battery. I'm using my phone average of 5 hours a day (Social media, KZbin and Camera) when its time to go home. It still has 18%Battery left!!!!!! I was to impress cause I didn't put the phone off for 3 days and using it 5 hours a day(estimate).

Taking mine back... Pixel hype is real.... But lots of let downs.... Didn't think the face unlock would bother me, it does. Finger print sucks with glass protector. Compared to my 7t I'm thinking of giving OPO 9 a shot. My one plus is hanging here for a solid 2 years

Yes, 7hr SoT for most people is easily enough for a day! However, it does suggest that OnePlus need to optimise better and control thermals (video).

In my opinion pixel 6 is the best phone here for amount of money paid, sure iphone has the best battery and (depends on who you ask) better camera, but then again, the pro max costs what. $1100? Compared to a $600 phone that's insane the pixel 6 could be compared to it
@jojag5

People fail to understand that Pixel has AI built-in that optimizes battery and charging based on patterns of use. The battery gets better as you use the Pixel for a few weeks. Many of these reviewers are just taking it out of the box and immediately doing battery life tests. It's also being compared to phones that are double the price. The vast majority of Pixel users are getting 8 hours of SOT from everyday use which includes being connected to a cell network, unlike many battery tests on KZbin which only consider ideal conditions with no sim. Pixel 6 is absolutely an all-day phone and actually outperforms that normal iPhone 13 in many battery tests on KZbin.

have you used the pixel phones prior to this test? I've heard the software on pixel phones learn from your behavior over X amount of time and adjusts accordingly. Could be the reason why it performed so poorly as this isn't an accurate depiction of what a regular day of use looks like.
@C3lloman
@C3lloman 2 жыл бұрын
That learning is about finding out which apps you use most to close down unused background apps. It has more to do with stanbdy times. I don't think it makes a big difference in a test where an app is constantly on.
@danielmendoza7521
@danielmendoza7521 2 жыл бұрын
@@C3lloman right I get that this test is just to measure raw battery life but the software on the pixel really plays a part in it. I would bet we would see different results if we did a real world test. It may not beat the iPhone but it would probably be closer.

What's important for a mobile phone for me is that you can use it the whole day without worrying about battery life. At the end of the day, at home, that's the time I charge it, and not charge it in the middle of the day. Fast charging is good, but not for me. It charges your phone fast, but it deteriorates your battery also faster. Not good if you keep your phone like 3 to 4 years.
@Vaves
@Vaves 2 жыл бұрын
Not really because most of them split the battery in half. So if the phone has 60W charging both battery cells charge at 30W each. That means its as harmful as a device which only has one big battery with 30W charging
