FANTASTIC REVIEW! What this has proven to me is that cell phone cameras from most high-quality manufacturers have improved to the point where they are all so good that finding the "best camera" is nearly impossible. Your video clearly shows that the differences are negligible. Certain shots on the Pixel look slightly better than the Samsung. Other shots on the Samsung look better than the Pixel. Overall, both cameras do a phenomenal job! My wife and I personally both use Samsung's A53-5G, and we absolutely love them. Overall, the camera quality on both phones is incredible, you can't go wrong with either phone! Thanks so much for a great comparison video!

Thanks for that comparison. I thought the Pixel 6 would destroy the A53, but it was a lot closer than I expected. Other than low light, the A53 came on top more often than not.

I have to say, I expected the same. The selfie camera they gave this phone is incredible. The Pixel 6a will have a hard time competing.

I have both these phones and I'm not sure what he is doing but the pixel phone is much better also he needs to actually look up the specs of the phones cause the pixal 6 is 50 megapixel resolution not 15 so yeah 🙄 this video seems to be geared for people to like the galaxy phones I have all of them I can and will do some videos showing the difference properly without bias

Useful comparison as ever, Nick. UK viewers might be interested to know that both phones have dropped in price over here, with the Galaxy A53 down to £270 and the Pixel 6 at £499. Given your review this makes the A53 a steal!

Well... a steal, only with the cameras. In all other aspects, especially performance, the Pixel 6 would be the one I'd choose.

@@phandroid tbh, I've had a mediocre experience with the pixel 6 pro. The video would sometimes skip frames or have a static sound in the videos when viewing them. Doesn't seem like there's a fix either unless Google actually tries to fix it with a new camera update.

I think they both produced good photos, a bit different, but still pleasant to the eye . Must say I preferred the photos from the Samsung ( only slightly) I've owned a few pixels . Only thing that puts me off Samsung is the bloatware

Daylighy Shots it's a toss up between Samsung A53 and Pixel 6. The daylight video goes to the Samsung A53 but All night shots and video pixel wins..

Thge A53 is suprisingly good, but in that opening main camera video comparison, the 4k/30 output looks really bad in comparison to the Pixel 6's output. It's a weird circumstance for that b/c it is stationary and in daylight. Very odd.

THe pixel's colors are far too blue. The flowers are more accurate on the Galaxy A53.

I have a pixel 4a. My friend has had every pixel , he's currently rocking a pixel 6pro. He has said the the standard images on the pixels aren't that much different , perhaps just a bit more detail. Obviously he's loving the telephoto lens

@Phanroid at 4:24 dude, is my english rusty or you say that the 53 does a "little better at that" stabilization job than the Google? Just rewind a few seconds and look at the background and trees,on the left its an earthquake and the Google on the right with it's AI look at all the calm and 0.0 richter scale shaking in the background.....and tell me again that the 53 does a better job (AT THAT) and I think im gonna laugh this time. BUT MATE CHEERS for the review it currently helps me choose! ONE thing i check the most for a phone camera processor quality, look tha the beautiful white balance management on the pixel. Pay attention at the side by side photos of the IPA beer in the video. Look at the white glare. PIXEL IT WILL BE.

My S22U (Exynos) at night/low-light is pretty sub-par, which drags down bother performance of Samsung phones. This reinforced my view that Samsung is not very good at night, especially video. I would expect both to be good in daylight and come down to personal preference and what is important to you. I would say that if you do a lot of camera work in low-light then avoid Samsung devices, especially in Europe where there are numerous better night-time camera phones. If it is not important to you then the A53 looks a solid camera phone for daylight work. I think the A53 is Exynos so that would be a deal-breaker for me, after the S22U I have given up on Samsung Fabs and let the Samsung fans enjoy the inequity of those chips.

I agree. Samsung phones often have really poor low light performance. I loved S20 Ultra but the camera on that phone was a disaster. Photos looked like a oil painting in low light.

Samsung have done incredible job in camera department. Typical Galaxy's oversaturation is basically gone and cheaper A53 is winning Pixel 6 in pretty much all situations.

@@phandroid Pixel 6 isnt just better in low light. Samsung has issues with dynamic range, there is also a lot of highlight clipping. Skin tones, colors science, sharpness, HDR details and video is just better on the Pixel 6. I mean considering the price $599 there is not better camera.

You know what really triggers me every time? Samsungs cameras could be SO MUCH better if they turn off this hella artificial processing crap. everything looks overproccessed, oversharpened, saturation to the max as if youre watching your grandma watching tv with all settings on max... it looks SO bad and its somethng i despise. sharpening and all that stuff should be done in POST processing... especially if you wanna run pictures through photoshop for example sharpening is ALLWAYS the last step in the chain, you never sharpen before you do the post processing because if you do you kill image quality big time. i simply dont get it either... samsung.. comeon... turn sharpness down, turn saturation down.. and all of a sudden your cameras look 10 times better ... FOR FREE!!

I have a pixel 6 and a pixel 6 Pro. The Pro smokes the 6. Would like to see a comparison with a Pro. But regardless the pixel 6 is more pricey and the A53 is only 459.99 and you get a great phone. I also have an A51 and they kick butt. For the price it holds up to Samsung flagships in most regards. I am a pixel fan but the A53 does rock for the cost.

@Benjamin JagunYour correct about the camera 💯. I'm referring to just the phone itself. The adaptive refresh rate is only on the Pro it adapts from 10 to 120hz and It's looks amazing watching high resolution videos of games. It's a great experience using the Pro IMO. The whole pixel 6 line rocks but you see the Pro shine and stand out when seeing them all side by side. Whatever floats your boat go with it, there all goot phones.
