These photos and videos just show how pathetic some of the other reviewers of the Pixel 6a are by moaning about the camera sensor being an old one. Who cares how old it is when you are getting this level of quality. I actually think the Pixel is better than the iPhone. Very little to choose when looking at what's in focus but when you look at the background, that's where the pixel wins.

My pixel 4a takes pictures which are on a par with my pixel 6. No discernible difference in photo quality. Perhaps slightly more detail and slightly better dynamic range on the pixel 6. Suggests to me the old pixel sensor was darn good !😊

@@ChigzTech Yes, with precision, regardless of the accuracy, but it was stable in the photos and videos in colors, lighting, and people’s color. It was more real than the iPhone, but of course no one can compete with the iPhone in filming the video only, but in general it was excellent, and if I had to choose between which one I would buy compared to the price, choose Pixel 6a

Nice comparison. Even as a Pixel user and no fan of Apple (despite having an iPhone XS Max as a 2nd phone), I expected the iPhone to trounce the 6a, but seriously, apart from the 1080 video where the iPhone had a clear edge on detail and zoomed photos, I think that the 6a was either its equal, or superior in all other scenarios, often with more detail and greater dynamic range.

I have a Pixel 6a and I can say it's the best 'investment' in a smartphone I've ever had. Considering how wild the prices of premium smartphones have become in the last 2 years, it really doesn't make sense to pay so much money to get a few things that are marginally better (NOT much better) than this phone. The camera on the Pixel 6a is phenomenal, the battery is very good, the screen as well (I can see everything without problems even in the strongest sunlight), and the software is pure Android. The only drawbacks are the slow fingerprint reader and slow charging (18 W). Everything else, for that price, is simply phenomenal. You have to be crazy and pay 1000+ EUR for iPhone 13 pro or Samsung S22+.

There is no match for Google computational photography I hate that all the reviewers are crying about it being a older sensor Who cares - It should take good photos, i don't care about the megapixel Checkout all the Chinese smartphones that are boasting 108 MP, 200 mps camera 5 camera setup but the photos are shite This is to show that it's all about the processing. Both Pixel and iPhone have 12MP sensor but are pinacale of how good phone photography can be. That dynamic range blew me away. Great camera comparison.

Weirdly the FHD video from Pixel’s back camera is so soft and lacks definition/details. But 4K looks great with stellar dynamic range. It’s so much improved compared to Pixel 5 and older.

Pixels can blow out skies. Depends on the angle of the camera and if the camera has adjusted it's settings based on the lighting conditions

I saw a review of the pixel 6A a couple of days ago from one of the big reviewers. Won't mention his name, but he's tall and isn't covered in tattoos. He basically ripped the pixel 6a for not having all the flagship features that his top of the line phones did. It's almost as if big reviewers have lost touch. You've made an excellent comparison with a phone in its price range and have given us good food for thought. It's kind of amazing how well the budget phone matches at against this flagship. Since the Nothing phone won't work for my carrier in the United States, it's good to know that Google's midrange does not disappoint.

For me and my work the pixel would be better. The colors are more natural on the pixel and there isn't an artificial exaggeration of contrast. On the iphone there's an obvious flaring in the highlights. You can see it in the skin tones and in the skies where it can't handle the excess of light. It also puts too much blue into the areas just where the strong light transitions into dark. The iphones reds are exaggerated too. The selfie camera on the iphone looks better than it's main cameras.

Pixel image is very soft with much less detail in the driveway garden video shots, still photos were more comparable. Selfie camera much better exposure on the Pixel. Pixel is very impressive and trades blows. If you count the price Pixel is a fantastic bargain.

Nice comparison. It's a lie that iPhone has best video.Its repeated as often in reviews/hay-say that people consider it truth. Yes pixel doesn't have 4k 60 in wide and telephoto and is not as smooth in switching b/w lenses. For main lens video nothing touches it unless iPhone records in pro-res(which is a different beast) and do colour grading and other to process it. Have extensively compared my p6 pro to friend i13 pro max. Pixel dynamic range on videos and richer colour(not unnatural) is unmatched both at day and night. iPhone washes out color details. In night p6 has slightly more graininess but have richer coolers and is much better in controlling highlights and rescuing shadow. With that being said occasionally pixel suffers from frame drop/heating at 60fps even at main lens and has worst modem and abysmal battery life.
