Loved the trip to London! I've always enjoyed Android phones, they just seem to work and usually I don't have questions about why they did certain things, but for anything relating to my voice.... it could be that I'm a Yank living in another country so have a combination accent... but Goggle hardly ever has understood what I've said. Siri on the other hand usually 'gets' me. Especially on the phone or watch, but not as well on the HomePods. If someone asks what type of Android phone to buy I'd likely recommend the Pixel 7. Either of them. They both seem great. Was really impressed with the zoomed in Eye photos from a distance. That was stunning.

Mark, I think you do a wonderful job on all of your reviews. I love that you hit the important specs but don't sit there and tell us straight benchmarks that, let's be honest, don't have any meaning to the majority of people since it's 2022 and any major player in the market is putting out a great phone. Have used both Android and iPhone. Currently on iPhone XS Max still and looking to get the base 14. I have to say, if I were to go back to Android, I think I would go Pixel 7. That price point is just too good for what you get. Admittedly, I'm locked into the apple ecosystem for too much money with the phone, watch, and airpods I think. Plus in America, it really is a big deal about messaging people. I have plenty of friends with Android and we use WhatsApp for easy of communication. There are plenty of important contacts that use iMessage, however, and if I were to switch, I know first hand how there experience will be when texting. Rant over. Love your videos and thank you for reading!

I know I’ve made these comments before. Most phone reviews can really only focus on the camera. Followed by the display maybe? Most flagship phones are really good. So it’s a decision iOS or Android. Limited countries where it's sold, limited marketing, and there is always some flaw in every PIxel that makes a lot of reviewers not go all in as with Apple or Samsung (Pixel 2 weak display panels, Pixel 3 ugly tub notch, Pixel 4 poor battery life, Pixel 5 dropped to mid range and vibrating earpiece giving poor sound, Pixel 6 fingerprint scanner, heating, and signal issues). My pixel 7 pro is only five months old and about a month ago it stopped allowing me to share small video clips. When you have a short video and want to share it in a text you click "share", then you click the text bubble, then you have three options, actual size, create link and share album. I would always select "create link", but for the last month I've been getting a message that says "Can't share, Try again in a few minutes". Well, it's been a month. I went back to T mobile and they couldn't fix it, I've gone to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they couldn't figure it out either. I was given the option to replace the phone but I don't want a refurbished phone when I feel like mine is still very new and it's just this one glitch.

"Pure Android" sure is nice and smooth, but Google has locked down the look and feel to an iPhone level of OEM control. No options to change the system font, size options for the system font are coarse, home screen layout is unpleasantly baked in, the settings menu is a endless laundry list of text, and the drop-down quick settings are giant pill buttons with tiny icons and scrolling text that hurts my eyes. Also the always-on display and lock screen are non-customizable. The hardware and the AI features are great, I just wish some of these deep UI settings could be modified. Customization used to be what the Android OS was all about.

One month on and my screen is failing. I had previously owned a Pixel 5, Pixel 6 and I hoped with this iteration, that Google had FINALLY worked out it's issues, but apparently I was wrong. If I had dropped it or done something stupid, I'd be grateful for this level of care. However, this is poor workmanship on Google's part. I'm kind of looking forward to showing off just what Google does after you spend money on the best they have to offer. I even bothered with signing up for Team Pixel. A wasted effort at this point.
