Hi Jason, It is so hard to find reviews of the base Pixel 9 as everyone goes for the pros. For this reason I say thank you to you. I have the Pixel 9 in the winter green just like you and am absolutely loving it. Here in the UK the Google store had a deal where if you pre-ordered the Pixel 9 you could buy the 256GB model for the price of the 128GB, which of course I did. So far everything has been really good. Battery life has been decent, love the new fingerprint sensor and the speakers are brilliant.

This phone is excellent. I wanted a smaller phone, so I traded my Pixel 8 Pro and got the 9 for free. I don't game or do anything that needs a vapor chamber. The camera is fantastic. I don't take selfies, so couldn't care less about the better front cam on the pro model. 12GB doesn't matter unless you are doing heavy AI or gaming etc. Screen is beautiful, even if the pro screen is better somehow. This phone has as good of a display as the 8 Pro. I don't use my phone in direct sunlight, so a few nits brighter also doesn't matter to me.

I returned the pixel 9 pro xl, because it was the worst flagship phone experience ever. I could not do intensive tasks on the phone. I am a photographer, video editor, and animator. Picture wise, it's okay at best. Video wise, it is absolute garbage, and that is me being nice. Nobody cares about AI, how is being able to make a goofy picture of a cat with sunglasses a selling point? Exporting video on the pixel 9 pro xl? Forget about it. It couldn't even run the mobile version of Filmora without overheating, let alone export a video. I tried exporting a 2-gig video in 1080 and the thing froze. WE as the consumer can't accept these things. I fell for the whole "Benchmarks don't mean anything" narrative that all these youtubers are pushing just to get a free phone from google.

@@MauricioDiCastillo sorry bro, I do not own the S24+, my last Samsung was and is the s23 ultra, that I picked up certified refurbished for $400 dollars US. That phone is nothing short of a great phone for the price, my only real issue is how massive it is. Take care my friend.

The fact Google is charging premium prices for an inferior chip set compared to other phones is wild. I've tested the phone out and its riddled with intermittent scroll stuttering on various apps and even web surfing.

I think pixels updated design has gotten a lot of people excited early on , but feel that’s wearing off as they are charging flagship prices and feel they are under delivering in a few areas like the storage, speakers , video quality , tensor chip still a little behind the competition. When they had there 200 dollar gift card are Best Buy I would have purchased the phone but as soon as I was about to drive over that promotion ended and I just couldn’t justify the cost being on a budget. Live there direction though and next discount or price drop I’d love to pick one up

A lot of people consider the video quality to be the second best, only second to apple so I don't think it's that they're under delivering, I think it's under delivering to you, speakers is fine and, storage? Storage is dependant on what you pick regardless of what a base model hws

I was so much excited and picked it up yesterday. But it didn't take much time to get disappointed. Heavy and cheaper feeling than same priced iphone and galaxy. As you know, processor performance and efficiency is much poorer. Most AI features were experienced from latest galaxy. Let's assume that there was no crazy trade-in and gift card promotion. Worth to buy this with same money of iphone or galaxy? My opinion is absolutely no. Pixel should be much cheaper than iphone or galaxy in many ways.

Hey thanks for the video but I think only the pro models get the vapor chamber for cooling from what I've read and other reviews so the regular pixel 9 does not have the vapor chamber anyway can you comment on this let me know if I've been hearing right or whether you're correct thanks again

@@anandraj.p0406 iPhone does better with video, still image photography is a tie, but the selfie camera does better on the pixel. For long term use, the iPhone 15 will not have access to Apple intelligence while the pixel 9 will have access to all of the new AI features. But day to day non AI use, the iPhone will last for years without problems. Haha don’t know if this helps, but hope it does!

What really bugs me, though, is how Apple deliberately slows down performance on older models with iOS updates. Such a cheap trick! Plus, their customer service can be pretty disappointing, and the company's overall attitude often comes off as arrogant.

Battery last an hour if used in youtube or browsing; but that's my mechanism to leave my phone aside and focus in real life.... I am still considering if I need a new phone, thinking of Pixel 9, but it seems mobile phones and specially pixels are now manufactured to feed people's social media frenzy. I just want a phone that can last me another 10 years (powerful cpu and high memory) and is small enough to fit my pockets. Another thing that attaches me to the pixel is that I am a heavy google user (Google Drive and One)..... ohh well, writing this has helped me to write down my requirements. Thanks!

Tell me it’s a “#teampixel” promotional video without telling me. Bro its benchmarks are comparable to a 4 year old flagship and he didn’t even mention how the tensor performs other than saying “it can handle day-to-day use”. But hey it can generate oil painting like pictures of a dog wearing sunglasses and a tortoise wearing a hat (which you can anyways do on any other smartphone with DALL.E or Midjourney). Not to mention how ironically their sorftware failed during the actual presentation, and they themselves used an S24 ultra (not a pixel) to showcase their software features 😂

Also ill have service but my daughter will tell me my wife has been calling but it never rings nor gives the option to leave a message. Speak for yourself 😂 maybe time spent using the camera is relatively low because all you have to do is click a button but I'd say for the average person it is probably fairly important to have decent to good camera quality to capture moments throughout our lives. Especially those with family/children

I bought the pixel 9 out of curiosity because I can. People are gonna get made but a 60hz display iPhone 13 feels smoother and is almost 2 times more powerful when it comes to performance. I don’t understand how you can charge people that huge amount of money for a brand new phone so weak and laggy. Only positive “picture“ but not worth it. And don’t start me on ai feature, it’s just software update so not a selling point.
