I wondered about that "Special" Pixel charger. I thought maybe it was like the OnePlus charger in that it would only work on the Pixels and boost the charging. I see that's not the case. Thanks for saving me money! Great Video!
@GOTgoodoldtech-19644 ай бұрын
You're right, it's just another branded 45w charger. I forgot to mention it in the video, it got just as warm as the other charger, so there was really nothing special about it. I think it even throttled its performance when it got a little warm. I would definitely pass on that charger. Thanks for tuning in to the channel. I appreciate your support. 👍

What I noticed with my 9 pro xl is that it will stop fast charging if the device is being used while charging..I think it's set that way to preserve the battery
@GOTgoodoldtech-1964Ай бұрын
@tomodon6400 That kind of makes sense, keep it from overheating as well. All that really matters to me is that it's in my car in a mount using GPS and music while it continues to charge. Thank you for sharing your experience. 👍👍

which one is better for P9PXL? would you be kind enough to let me know? 1. Official google 45w charger 2. Anker Nano II 45W USB C Charger 3. Anker 313 Ace 2 45W Charge
@GOTgoodoldtech-19643 ай бұрын
That's a great question. Because I officially have not tested all those, it's hard for me to really make an official choice. However, that said, from my experience, I think the Anker products are the best ones out there. The Pixel charger is probably one that's been made by somebody else and they just slapped their name on it. It didn't seem to perform any better than the generic one. I hope that provides you with some answer. Thank you for tuning in to the channel and asking your question. I appreciate your support. 👍

Hi, for my Google Pixel pro what charger would you suggest. a 30W or a 45W?
@GOTgoodoldtech-1964Ай бұрын
A 30W will allow it to charge just as fast as the 45W since it's top charging speed is lower than 30W. That said, if you want to future proof your charging speed for other devices the 45W would be the best choice. I hope that helps. Thank you for your question. 👍

Good video eh! Was intrigued by your charging tests as I had seen a Google 45w charger test by ALLTHINGSONEPLACE KZbin channel/website & he does the best 👍🏽 complete technical testing on USB C chargers & powerbanks. He is very happy with the highest efficiency among the 30-45 watt chargers 👍🏽 93% efficiency for a small charger is awesome 🤟🏽

Would be nice to see a video on Samsung the difference when you turn off fast charging and super fast charging.

Hmm, that's an interesting idea. I'll play around with that and see if it's worth putting in a video. I put all mine on fast charging and never even think about the slower charging setting. Makes one wonder why it's even there. Thank you for the idea and support! 👍

That app name is literally the full form of amp(current). Why were you confused with that.
@GOTgoodoldtech-19643 ай бұрын
Funny, I'm a tech guy who doesn't know electrical terms. It's actually something I never gave a thought to. Common usage: You'll often hear amperes referred to as "amps" for short. For example, a 10-amp fuse will blow if the current flowing through it exceeds 10 amperes. Makes a lot of sense. Guess I could have just asked AI. 😂 Thanks for sharing.

As pixel 9 pro supports fast charging up to 27w, do I really need a 45w charger or can I charge it with my MacBook 30W charger and get the same results?
@GOTgoodoldtech-196421 күн бұрын
@@ballamanasa93 The 45w charger does seem to charge a bit faster I've found but not enough to warrant moving from the 30w to 45w. I think it's due to the heat produced by the charger. When they get too hot they throttle. The 45w doesn't get as hot. I hope this helps. Great question, thanks for asking. 👍

Hi! Sort of an aside question, but please remind me if it is better to not charge my phone to 100% each time? Does it matter? Also, is it bad for the battery if I leave my phone plugged in to charge overnight? Thanks! Great video. 👍
@GOTgoodoldtech-19643 ай бұрын
Most smartphones today have sophisticated battery management systems that prevent overcharging. They stop the current flow when the battery reaches 100%, essentially trickling charge to keep it topped off. Being plugged in all night is typically fine for the same reason. The main issue is heat. If your phone gets excessively hot while plugged in all night (especially under a pillow or in a hot environment), it can accelerate battery wear. That said, most research says to charge the phone to 80% each time to prolong battery health. www.androidauthority.com/80-percent-battery-limit-3470858/ Honestly, I don't do that and haven't had battery issues with any of my devices and found the batteries are fine even after 4 or 5 years which is rare I keep a phone that long. I hope this answers your question. 👍

It's okay to charge your phone so the way to 100% and it's okay to leave it plugged it at night. The heat it generates when charging is the only thing that could decrease the battery's lifespan over a long period of time of several years.

Not accurate by any means! Your phone is on for one! Consuming power! You're using an app, consuming power! You're online consuming power!

@tmsala59 You're absolutely correct and I mention that in the video. This was a comparison between the phones and they were on a level playing field using the same process. Results will vary depending on the use of each device while charging. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment and support. 👍
