Fabulous work!! How did you do the shadow and light thing?
@SampoPesonen4 жыл бұрын
By using multiply layer for the shadow and screen layer for the lights and then adjusting the layer opacity. There is few layer types that you should try out and they are helpful for some effects.
@antospin40044 жыл бұрын
@@SampoPesonen thank you, what is the difference between multiply layer and screen layer? And what is their function?

@@antospin4004 They are explained in the manual: docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/blending_modes.html Also search digital painting tutorials people using those. Photoshop has the same types so the software really doesnt matter.

Hello, how are you aces at making pixel art drawings in KRITA? I'm just starting out in Krita.
@SampoPesonen Жыл бұрын
Hi, just start with very small canvas when making new image. Something like 240x320 or similar. Krita has couple of pixel art brushes ready. The one 1 pixel brush is the most important and just start painting with it. It takes time and practice.

please clarify the following things: 1. how do you get the lines so thick and clear without jags 2. what resolution do you use thank you, your art work is mesmerizing.
@SampoPesonen3 жыл бұрын
1. I just use 1 pixel brush, im not sure what you mean with thickness. I usually clean the lines with eraser to avoid the jagged lines. 2. Resolution is always something small, example 240 x 320 etc. You can always rescale the canvas and when you finish upscale by 4x with nearest neighbours algorithm.

¡adoro esta animación! Actualmente utilizó krita para pixelart, pero cuando trato de renderizar una animación después no me deja volver a habrirlo en krita y es un problema. No se si sea por el formato mp4 pero nose que hago mal
@SampoPesonen Жыл бұрын
Muchas gracias, yo siempre exportar animación en Krita en format de PNG y después usar una aplicación para video para hacer el vídeo con mejor calidad. No creo q es muy fácil hacer el formato en video con Krita realmente.
@unapersonamasacuna7108 Жыл бұрын

Pretty Good! I know NOTHING about drawing digital art, I only know programming. But I was curious as a hobby to draw some simple 2D barbarian style characters for a basic 2D game. Never made a game before, but figured I could use my programming skills with Unity to create something. But I've done a day of googling, and I am looking for something basic and not too complicated. I see Krita, CLIP STUDIO, GIMP. After a day of googling haven't found anyone online who has a personal preference on which is the simplest for beginners to get started with. Could you share from your personal experience which one you liked the most??
@SampoPesonen Жыл бұрын
Sure, I never got to familiar with Gimp but lots of people use it. The UI put me off from the start but if you are ok with it, Im sure GIMP does the job. Last time I used Clip studio, it didnt really have pixel art support / brushes. That might have changed since. I personally use Krita 99% of my Pixel Art stuff. Before I used Photoshop and Krita was super easy transform. I totally recommend it. Paint.net (if you are using Windows), is also pretty good alternative. I use it for fast edits becauase opens faster than Krita. Great line tool and pixel perfect brush which I would love to have in Krita. If you are willing to spend money, Aseprite is most likely the "best" pixel art app there is. Also the simplest because its just targetted to make Pixel Art. Hopefully these tips are helpful to you! :)

@@electricimpulsetoprogramming Really impossible to say, we all are different. Really I dont think you need to practice 8 hours everyday. Start doing 15 - 30mins per day. What is the canvas size?
@SampoPesonen4 жыл бұрын
I usually use full HD divided by 4 or 5. Depending on the feeling. Its not so important because after you rescale it to be bigger, you have room adjust. This might be something like 480 x 270.
