How do I make the aseprite look dark and what size should the canvas be for the sprite?

You can change the appearance in the preferences . Just double click the theme you want to use in the ‘themes’ section. You can also get/install more themes using the link in the preferences dialog. This piece uses 24x24 tiles and started as a 144x144px canvas which I later expanded to fit in more tiles. Hope that helps! 😃
