I hear many people saying, that pixel art is old, boring and emotionles. But I have never seen such picture, that expresses more feelings than this one. It shows, how small we, humans, are and how big is the power of nature.and everything arounds us. It shows, that being the only one, lonely, left behind without any one to rely on, us the real curse. I watched only two of your vides, and already, I know, that I want more. You are doing a great work! :)

This is absolutely amazing. From the ship to the effects. Two side notes. The smoke coming from the ship remind me of ribbon cables for a computer and the rocks in the mid-ground and around Ben seem to be regarding him or looking at him. Was that intentional? Again, this is great!

Pixels, Huh Not the reason, sure, but everyone needs money to live, and it is much easier to earn money with your art because you don't have to do another job to fund your life and can put in more time into the thing you love to do. I hope your fanbase will increase and you will be able to live from your art in future. =)

Why wouldnt he be able to live from his art? Do you have any idea how much pixel art is in demand ? I do pixel art and get offers from m small game designers to make work for them , art is everywhere, from the logos you see on company buildings to a digital painting ,to the ui design in your phone , artists who keep up with the times ,thrive . The ones who dont eg people who just do portraits etc , not so much

That is amazing. I subbed! 1) I've always wondered how to get that "Hyper Light Drifter" feel in the pixel art with the fine details. Most of the pixel art tutorial that uses Photoshop seems to have bigger pixels than that of the aforementioned game. Are you using another program to create your pixel art? 2) If you were to create a short movie using your pixel art, what program would you use to do it? Adobe Animate CC (aka Flash)?

Hi! thanks for the sub! :) 1. I'm using Photoshop as well. I work on a 280x360 canvas and the pencil tool at 1px size. Other people might work on a smaller canvas so their pixels look bigger. 2. I'd probably work on all the different animated scenes on Photoshop and then I'd use an editing software or After Effects to join them in a single movie. Hope this helps!

I am trying to get into the style of pixel art but I have a very hard time trying to quickly make long straight or diagonal lines and it seems that you have mastered it or use a shortcut or certain tool, is it possible that you could share your almighty knowledge with a fellow student of pixel art?

hi there! No secrets here: I paint straight diagonals pixel by pixel. Keep in mind that this video shows the process 64 times faster than normal. This means that a straight line drawn in just one second in the video, is a whole minute of work in real time.

Hey there! Try this: create a new document with a very small canvas (something like 200x150px). Zoom in and use the pencil tool with size 1px to draw the pixels. That's it! Have fun!! Pixel art is awesome! :)
