In this Illustrator tutorial, learn how to design minimal flat lamp that can turn on and off! Thank you for the video! When I use my rectangle tool it automatically has a fill. If I'm putting it over an existing shape, it makes it hard to see the objects underneath. I want to be able to see through it when I'm deciding the size of the rectangle. Which settings should I change??? ( This is only my second project in illustrator).

You could just have a stroke on your rectangle which would be like an outline without the fill
