In this video I show you how you can design a logo using grids and - it's a really clean and effective way to design a logo. Great video! Just note that when you shrank the icon, your stroke size didn't scale down with it (can be changed in preferences). Good video though for anyone creating logo/symbols :-)

to get my grid to look like yours i first had to go into preferences>guides & grid> and then change settings to "gridline every 36 px" and make the subdivisions only 4. why not just show what hitting the preferences button looks like...
