I could see Asmodeus being the one with the Arch Heart. Asmodeus hate the mortals and this world, and he also wants the gods to be family again. So what if he has accepted that the primes will never allow him to wipe out their children, and says fine, maybe I can get us to flee this world and start over on a new one where there are no mortals, and we can be a family again.

What if it was just Asmodeus impersonating the Archeart? We saw the AH's realm, but surely illusion of that scale is within the Lord of Lies' skillset.

@@Pixelists Abu just seemed particularly menacing, having the bipolar switches Brennan often shows when acting as Asmo. Plus, the immediate testing of Braius' loyalty and putting so much emphasis on "family" stood out to me.

I was thinking about that as well, but I dropped the idea, mainly because I don't think Matt would let Abu play the Archheart impersonated by Asmodeus. Not saying it is impossible, but on a meta level I think he wants Abu to represent the Archheart, not Asmodeus. It could also easily lead to the players not ever trusting a guest player again. It is one thing if a guest comes in to begin with the plan betraying them. But to bring in a player clearly representing one character during Downfall and then seemingly representing the same character (even though as a more DM role) but being a disguised Asmodeus could mess things really up. It is also a totally different thing if it is Matt as a DM or Brennan as a DM doing the same take. It would be even a different thing if Abu was DMing a whole session playing dozens of different NPCs and one being Asmodeus as the Arch Heart. The way it was done here, I don't think it was that twist.

The spell Ludinus was holding was dimension door to get the emissary out. It wasn't an 8th level spell to do damage.

I really enjoy your chill vibe and check in at the beginning of your videos. I hope you will keep it up. I think it might also do you a service, that you are not aware of, in keeping entitled people away. If you would turn towards a more edited and polished vibe it might get in some additional/different viewers, but they would probably also be less understanding if an episode comes late or the sound isn't perfect or you miss some things on the recap. With the way you are doing it right now I think it carries over the vibe that you are nerds who love to hangout and theorise about CR as a hobby. So these small glimpses into your life create understanding. I personally don't watch the seperate recaps but I can see the value of it. Depending on how much work it creates I would support keeping it up, but I wouldn't miss it myself if it is too much work. I discovered world's beyond numbers mainly through you and wanted to thank you for it, since I really love it! :) Greetings from Sweden!

Hello from Sweden! Thank you for your perspective too. That may be a longer term decision but right now it being a hobby for us, we put in about as much time as we can. Maybe down the road though!

New viewer 👋 Always good to come across Critters diving deep into the episodes. I really love the gift that Matt gave to Abu in not just playing the character in a one-off side series but also being official in the main campaign. (And Abu is absolutely brilliant as both the Arch Heart and a DM.) One of my favorite things from the Cooldown was we officially know that Laura knows how the Raven Queen ascended to divinity and the fate of the previous god she deposed. Matt is the only other one who knows this information and Laura is sworn to secrecy. This was legit one of the best episodes in a LONG time. I'd easily call this the best episode of this campaign.

I think I've come to the opinion that while Matt truly loves to be the storyteller and the creator of the tapestry of Exandria... he has also come to love being the inspiration for other people to expand upon his creation. He seems to get as much joy out of the additional lore that others have added into his cannon as he has for any of his own. He is one of the most generous artists, with a true love for collaboration, without ego. P.S. It likely helped that the second half was pretty much exclusively Role Play, I don't think they rolled a single dice. Correct me if I'm wrong. He played his part to near perfection, but he might have hit a few snags if there had been something like battle mechanics to deal with. No diss intended at all, it was still brilliant and amazing, but his lack of DMing wasn't tested so much as his talent for improv. P.P.S. Gloamglut reached the flight aspect of fight or flight, he fled. Might still be in the area, but he was heading out of the danger zone last we heard.

Completely agree on what a great leader Matt is to let someone come to the table like that. One of the best surprises ever. And thank you for the reminder and extra details on the hair because I had somewhat forgotten all of the context on that from downfall 😂

I always watch the entire discussion video, and have never had a need for the separated clips, myself. I could see how some people might prefer just the recap but I doubt it's worth the time spent when those folks can just click off video after the recap.

wait, what if another one coulb be the vessel? maybe when the situation on the moon arrives, imogens mom would be with them, and maybe imogen is trying to be the vessel, but it could kill her, and liliana does something and take her place and becomes the vessel to save imogen that could be a really nice ending and a kinda of redemption arc for liliana

Could Liliana become the Vessel in the Archeart’s plan, making the sacrifice on her daughter’s behalf? It would be quite a bit of trust, but if they believe the Archeart that Predathos really won’t care about the mortals, that takes a lot of their concerns away, and Liliana already left to protect her daughter once before.

I can see that happening, also based on previous events in all campaigns. I really hope though that it won't be like that. I would love to see them make a decision to "sacrifice" Fearne or Imogen. I'm here for the drama. 🤣

@@jurekro that’s fair. I get too attached to the characters, so I was hunting for a way for everyone to get a happy ending, but I can appreciate some drama if that’s where the story goes

Seeing the God's power, and seeing some of Illiana's power. There is no comparison, and if the God's couldn't control it. I'm 100% sure they couldn't either. 99.9% sure if some how Imogen and Fearne could split Prodothos it will still fall apart.
