There's a thing I just noticed after watching this part that was interesting to think about, but it would be related to big spoilers for both this game and the rest of the series. I'll just say that Sora's situation in later games has a few interesting parallels to Beast's in this game, and leave it at that (Ali _might_ know what I'm talking about for at least one of them, since she beat KH2 before)

So, the way to get the secret ending KH1 is to get all Ansem Reports and defeat all bosses, yes?

@@Loner098 They changed the requirements for the Final Mix version (which the HD 1.5+2.5 version they're playing is based on). The requirements depend on which difficulty you're playing on, and whether you want the shorter or the longer secret ending. To get the longer secret ending on the difficulty they're playing, you need to seal keyholes in all worlds (except Monstro where there isn't one, but you still need to complete the story there), win the Hades Cup, and complete Jiminy's Journal (which includes getting all Ansem Reports).

Welcome to Hollow Bastion, probably the most iconic original world in the Kingdom Hearts series! Also home to several of the most difficult non-superboss fights in this game. That fight with Riku after getting your Keyblade back was - for me - the hardest mini-boss in the game, even more so than Antisora. But regardless, I love the atmosphere of this place, and of course the music too! ...Not so much the super annoying enemies you have to fight

The locations of the Torn Pages in case you want to recheck them: * Traverse Town: Rescue 51 Dalmatians. * Agrabah: Dark Chamber in the Cave of Wonders. * Monstro: Chamber 6. To get this one, go to the top step in Chamber 6 and move a barrel near the platform so you can reach it. * Halloween Town: The bookcase in the Doctor's Lab. * Atlantica: Ariel's Grotto. I don't think you collected them all while recording, so it'd be hard for us to verify which ones you got.

15:50 thx god Ali, don't be like me trying to get to that button for an hour only to find out it's just there for no reason as even if you cheat the game you can't touch it. You can lock on interacable objects and you can't lock on that button because of that so games give you some hints I suppose.

Just so you know, many of the Ansem Reports are locked behind superbosses. You've probably unlocked a few of the superbosses already. There's a total of 13 Ansem Reports. (Several of them were added in Final Mix.)

37:43 this talk between Riku and Shadow dude really shows that the Keyblade was supposed to go to Riku, but since Riku was turning to the darkness, the Keyblade chose Sora. The Keyblade also closer matches Riku’s color palette being more blue and yellow vs Sora’s more red and white Yes I know his shoes are yellow, but that’s not the part I’m talking about

With the Ansem reports I recommend reading them when you have them all,( if you’re planning on getting all of them) because to me, they make more sense if you read them in order starting from 1, then 2, etc.

There are 7 Princesses of Heart including the six Disney Princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Alice). The seventh isn’t hard to figure out but the game technically hasn’t said as much yet. As demonstrated, the Heartless cannot be hurt by just anything. Only the Keyblade or other magically-enhanced weapons can (unless you’re Beast who runs on sheer willpower and can one-shot Darkballs with just your claws cause he’s that strong). Goofy’s “See ya later, Donald!” was a meme after a certain election four years ago (unfortunately it could not be reused for this last one). Also funny fact, after said previous election from 2020, Hikaru Utada (the main singer of this game’s main theme) was notable for saying on Twitter “Thank f****** Christ.” Was really funny. It is kinda cool to think that the Wizards and Defenders are like Heartless versions of Donald and Goofy. 43:30 Says the man who skipped a world In case you didn’t pick up on it, all the Ansem Reports you’ve gotten so far were rewards for defeating Disney villain bosses. Remember who else was on that little villain council? Hades and Ursula. Hmm, I wonder what would happen if you were to fight them, and where you could go to do so…?

About those Heartless, I remember seeing some people theorize these two were _specifically_ summoned there by Riku just to remind Sora of the friends he's just lost, to kick him while he was already down. Wouldn't put it past him tbh... You may want to edit that part about the princesses of heart though, you just spoiled them on something that's still coming up (pretty obvious to figure out, but still)

For everyone to understand even for Pixel Partners Riku was ORIGINALLY going to wield the keyblade But since he was devoured by darkness at the beginning the keyblade had to go to Sora as it's last result But Riku does have the heart to wield a keyblade...more on that later on in the series.

For the first game (and only the first game) the Keyblade was talked about as though it was a unique artifact weapon with only a single Keyblade wielder at any one time. That idea disappears after this game, but I can't say whether it was a genuine retcon, or if it was always the plan for what Sora wields to just be a Keyblade rather than being the Keyblade. Along with that question comes the question of whether Riku was originally meant to wield the Keyblade, or if that's (also) a retcon. If it is a retcon, it's pretty well done.

There was one more thing you had to do in the Hundred Acre Wood, gather up Pooh Bear's friends. That was all. Still, very powerful moment. And I remember there was one chest I could not get in the basement. And if you're a completionist, good luck trying to acquire the Defender's shield and the Wizard's staff. And since you got White Trinity, you can unlock those, including Wonderland's Keyblade.

BTW some abilities like Sonic can interfere with each other. If memory serves you learned Ars Arcanum, that ability can't used with Sonic equipped.

It depends on your distance from the target. I’ve had all special attacks at once and had little trouble by getting used to the distance mechanics.

About the Torn Page mystery: The only thing I can think of is that you didn't complete the nut mini-game (by giving Owl all the nuts), so the last area hasn't opened up yet.
