Man you are one of the few guys talking about this problem. Man I wasted the last 7 months of 2019 learning how to code (learning the syntax) I couldn’t code on my own until I understood I need to learn how to problem solve. Your video helped me in my problem solving process

Bro I commented before I watched the video and you truly got me to see the💡 thank you bro!!!! This made me want to code!! I’ve been a network engineer for 10yrs and I’ve been searching the net for a video like this!!! Also if you could make a video on how to read documentation that would be dope a I’ll L lot programers skip that part I believe if you guys could get newbies understanding of how to read documentation and how to use the formula it would be easier to jump into projects and not get stuck on the syntax but if you don’t understand the syntax when you get stuck is sucks lol

This formula is universal and you can apply it to your whole life and it will work. It tells you how to be in charge of your destiny, which is scary but it is the only way from the cave to evolution.

V. Anton Spraul was right, i tried to learn programming few years back but never learned i got stuck in syntax, I never tried to do the tricky console programming excersises, but now is different, I solve problems first making pseudocode or flowchart and syntax is the easy part, let the google handle it.
@PixemWeb5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, syntax is easy. Documentation pages provide most of the information you need. The hardest part is to model a solution. Thanks for watching.

I have a question which I think a lot about; I'm a business student but I love programming and I want to be a web developer, so my question is should I change my study major? or continue in business major and study programming on my own? I hope someone helps me finding an answer. Thank you so much for your amazing videos! respect.

how do we know if we have the problem-solving skills and logic that programming requires?

Can anyone suggest some specific book that helps in developing problem solving skills or is it all about practicing hackerrank problems to develop those?
@Victor-Ike Жыл бұрын
Practice is the only way to get better at problem solving. Solve enough problems and your brain will start recognizing patterns / recalling other similar problems you’ve solved before.

There was this story about a man who was asked to go buy 5 eggs but when he returned, he had 6 eggs. The wife was baffled and asked why he bought 6 eggs, and the guy said, you are married to a programmer.

Play video games. Playing games requires you to find a solution to a problem; how to win the game. It teaches you to be patient and be persistent when it comes to problem-solving. I'm a gamer, and I approve of this programming tip. Thanks!

Hi Andrii, thanks for watching. Sleep is very very important. But there are times when sleep just isn’t gonna happen. I do recognize that a healthy brain requires rest. I just also know that real life isn’t optimized for a perfect schedule. Life is like Ying and Yang. Ebb and flow. There will be time to grind and time to unwind. Again, thanks for watching 🙏🏼

Problem Solving Framework: 1. Understand the problem. 2. Plan out your solution. 3. Divide the problem into smaller parts. 4. If stuck, take a step back. 5. Practice & test.

Yep, with no math degree it's a non stop struggle which is not worth of time and money. You like it or not, problem solving takes a lot of years of math training.
@PixemWeb5 жыл бұрын
Being proficient in Math definitely helps but so does doing challenging mental activities like puzzles, chess etc. I love math, always have. I’m currently enjoying helping my daughter with her pre-algebra.
