Seguramente después de esa entrevista los Pixies se separaron. .. yo estába viendo MTV cuando en sus cápsulas de notícias informaron la separación, casi muero. Yo fui un fanático en tiempo real de los Pixies desde los 80s... Y en realidad nunca recibí con gratitud su regreso, ni la incorporación de su nueva bajista. Toda la vida he amado a Kim deal.

I read a lot that this was one of the low points of the Pixies career or something like that, idk if it was that bad but something does tell me that Kim had beef with Francis dating back to possibly midway through the Bossanova tour.

“Well, it’s a dumb riff…”, hahaha. I’ve always loved how they used a sort of cliche arena rock “start/stop” rhythm and made it their own weird thing for “U-Mass”. The Pixies were always able to do such things in a surreal way that few people are.

dave created the show, and he was really knowledgeable about music but sometimes the interviews just don't really go so well LOL. If you watch other interviews with the Pixies they're kind of introverted and standoffish so this is probably as good as you were going to get
