As usual, I learned something new. I didn't know the trick of adding light to the eyes opposite the light source! Wonderful effect! Also, I watched your videos at the Photoshop Virtual Summit this week. You were great! The whole event was AMAZING! I picked up myriad techniques and tricks from all the top instructors. Now, I need to try them out on my photos.

@piximperfect what are your thoughts on someone using a wakom pen and pad tool? I've been tempted to get one since it might speed up my production process compared to me editing with a cheap mouse, I'm a drawer as well but can't use the mouse to draw, but if I had the pen & pad tool I probably would be able to start adding more detail but my doubts are still saying is it worth it

end result looks cartoonish. take good pictures and fix small bits; instead of bad pictures with massive overhauls, which result in less than impressive results. you can make major changes to inanimate objects and get away with it, but never with human faces.

A tip I've picked up for highlighting eyes that works well for many images is to really sharpen them. Typically you duplicate your image layer then apply a lot of sharpening to the bottom copy. In the top copy you erase the eyes to transparency.
