In my experience (in Java & Bedrock), Arrows of Healing make the first half of the battle go by fairly quickly, and a pack of Iron Golems buffed with Strength potions make the second half of the battle almost as easy. Also, I always put a wall between where the Wither spawns & the Golems, so that they don't take a bunch of damage before the battle even starts.

The first underground strategy might be a good idea in java but you should never even try to fight the wither in bedrock, things will go horribly wrong very quickly

Whenever I've felt like fighting the Wither in Bedrock, I've always done so underground. As long as you prep for the battle properly, it's not that bad.

@@THE_bchatIt is bad most of the time. Once I summoned it very deep underground. It was near an underground ravine. Mf just straight up ignored me and created another whole ravine itself. When I used the End end method, I tried to get a lot of wither roses by taking shulkers of eggs and dispensing them under the portal. I learned that it helps to let them grow up and then splash them with a poison potion to get them down to half a heart. It helps to hold a seed when splashing them, but be careful, they can entity cram you if you do enough. When the wither explodes, instant wither rose for each chicken. I set up an auto dispenser on a quick clock and a hopper leading into it, then I just put my shulkers on top of the hopper and let them auto hatch in the hole.

@kalayojack11 ай бұрын
I think the problem with the second method was that you spawned in a space where the wither could already fly up & away from the golems, since I had a similar experience myself. Best to spawn them & the golems in a fresh section of 3 block high by 3 block wide tunnels each time.
@craigds374511 ай бұрын
I also put a wall between the wither and the golems to protect the golems from the wither's first explosion, which takes out the wall.
@volehunter11 ай бұрын
I have also seen this work well when you place the iron golems further away, get agro from wither and bring him to the golems.

I always use the nether roof tactics: Build an obsidian chamber just under the nether roof, fill it with iron gollems, and most of the work is done. Make sure the initial explosion doesnt hurt the gollems and try to repear them during the fight.
@Spectervamp111 ай бұрын
14:00 note on this actually, you are able to trap it in the gateway. If the portal in the gateway is active though it will teleport, and then you have a loose wither waiting for you on the other side. You can delete the portal block by growing a red mushroom into it, and if you manipulate the location of the return gateway you can use this to create a wither cage for a very effective wither rose farm. Do note on multiplayer if you use paper for server hosting the mushroom bug has been patched. To my knowledge none of this applies on bedrock edition.
@andrecruz0411 ай бұрын
In Bedrock, underground Wither fight will generate a ton of dropped block itens, so that many low end devices could just burst up in flames. Also, the Wither might just easily dash and be by your neck in an instant. Or dash upward and be out of reach for iron golens. Bedrock Wither is just a complete nightmare.

For Bedrock, there are smother spots you can find and use (SilentWhisper did a great video on them since bedrock spawns identically in every world seed and there are several near 0,0 which is spawn for most worlds). If you don't like to use exploits like spawning into bedrock for smothering, you can still do the iron golem method. It is MUCH harder and you need to prep a lot more - especially, if like me, you only play on hard mode and consider shifting the difficulty to be cheating. You will need a bedrock ceiling (either in the nether or under the end portal - the former can be hard to find a good area without places the wither can climb out of golem range and the latter can be a bit small for the number of golems you need). Make a room with a flat ceiling by filling the holes (or the corners) with obsidian, walls that are AT LEAST two layers of obsidian thick, and a floor that is AT LEAST two layers of obsidian thick. 3 or even 4 layers is better. Leave a way for yourself to enter and exit that is 1 by 2 and has at least one 45 degree turn. This room will "hold" the wither long enough for your golems to end it - as only a few wither attacks take out obsidian. Prep the wither summoning (consider using a dispenser to place the last skull so that you can just push a button) and surround the summoning with a ring of dirt, netherrack, or other soft block to absorb the initial blast but completely break in the process. Then surround that with as many iron golems as you can fit. If in the end, with a smaller space, take one wall out and make the golems above so that they drop into the room as they spawn. I suggest you start with four stacks of iron blocks and a stack of carved pumpkins to be sure you have more than you need. Then, summon, close up the dirt ring, and get out of there (if a big room full of golems, consider blocking a path with dirt as well to keep your getaway clear). The initial blast removes the ring, the golems go in, and the wither cannot quickly or easily fly up and away. It is resource intensive and a pain (you will need many replacement iron golems as well as more obsidian to patch holes every time) - but it works without exploits.

Word of advice on the nether method, if you set up the obsidian "T" wrong the wither can escape in the End. Fun time. Also on SMP server I'm on set up a method of having the wither trapped and made snow golems and was able to farm wither roses, when done kill the wither and get a Star.

For my wither farm I made it underground in a somewhat large obsidian box, enough for 10 iron golems to move freely, also I have golems outside the perimeter in case the wither escapes the box, then I throw a shulker of eggs to make chickens, which will become wither roses when the wither is summoned in. It's usually dead in less than a minute.

First, I searched for ways to make them stuck in becrock, but the ways shown on KZbin basically didn't work for me, so I decided to fight it the challenging, the intentional way. The most fun (if considerably impractical) way to fight the wither is during a thunderstorm with two tridents, one Riptide and one Channeling + Loyalty It's not as 'safe' as doing it in a cave, and of course is requires an ongoing thunderstorm, but the fight is fun as hell

I believe the recent, or upcoming, change to mob attack ranges removes the iron golem’s ability to attack a wither under the end portal
@TheRealWormbo11 ай бұрын
That is not correct, the change means that attacks require a horizontal line of sight between the attacking and attacked entity's bounding box, which definitely exists in the end portal cheesing case.

Fight the wither in the deep dark and summon in the warden. Works in JAVA and Bedrock. I have done this multiple times, and the warden has only lost once. This is a really great fight in Bedrock, because the warden has to chase the wither around. To get wither roses, round-up zombies, skeletons, and spiders. Put the hostile mobs in a pin near a detector and screecher. Trigger the detector 3Xs, and then summon the wither who will trigger the detector and summon the warden. Try it!

It is funny that Pixlriffs is searching for a slime chunk out by the Mooshroom Island. There is a 2x2-minus-1 "L shaped" pattern of slime chunks just in front of the storage room and under the mountain. He ran into it while making the double spider spawner in the abandoned mineshaft. But these are incredibly slow compared with the Mumbo Jumbo Slime Farm in a swamp. (The real one Ilmango and Docm77 designed, not the original horrible one from Hermitcraft that inspired it.)
