The reason that the ones in the distance aren't getting angry at you is because you're not looking at their eye line. It's not that they're torso, are above, if you turn on hitboxes, you'll see a red line where their eyeline is that's where your cursor has to meet in order for the enderman to be agroed

It is worth enchanting your shears with Unbreaking III, to make them last longer. If you have an XP farm, it shouldn't be too difficult... and they'll last 4x longer, so less fuss and muss. :) It's a pity Fortune enchants don't work on bee nests...

I am watching this about a year after it was released and listening to the narration in the first half of the video brought me to tears and far too much joy to have from watching the finale of a minecraft video series. I am so passionate about storytelling and history and all kinds of similar stuff, and the way that this version of how the world came to be is so incredible and just pleases my little writer brain so much. I think that this story has made it to the top (or at least VERY high up) of my list of my favorite stories ever, and I know that from this point on I'll take inspiration from this amazing feat of storytelling, thank you for this masterpiece
