So, basically, start with teh dynamesh. Manipulate the model how you like it, THEN convert it to a standard model, for further subdivisions.

When you use DynaMesh to smooth out the polgons in a distorted part of your model, does DynaMesh affect the rest of the model, too? If so, how long can you use DynaMesh before you get too many polygons?

Dynamesh affects the entire model. You can split of a part of the model though and dynamesh that part. It will get complicated in the long run though. You can use dynamesh depending on what your settings are. Better computer supports more polygons.

u might fllipped the terms abit according u your question u dynamesh on object to an relaxed polygonal matrix. if you scale ur model to 10 times the initial size u may get too many polygons due to the algorithm used to calculate the polygons, if u keep an moderate scene size u can use dynamesh 100 time in one minute and ur brushes work very smooth. With Subdevision models u add poligons wit each level.from one 4 side face u get 4 (4 side faces)u quadruple the polygon count with each level u ad.

This was helpful. But those eggs on dog's body made me uncomfortable to look at. Lol! Thanks anyways...
