Majority of those dislikes comes from hygiene freaks but I can't blame them though the environment isn't safe for cooking but us Indians are blessed with better immunity because of our lifestyle for good or worse. I'm not a hygiene freak but I'm not dirty either so it's the charity, thought and effort of the grandpa making food for those underprivileged kids that counts but some people get frustrated over the fact that this isn't hygiene, it's better to ignore those people because everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Anime Ape Believe me, man. I’ve spent more than 8 months in India, seen more than 7 states and met hundreds of different people. They’ve got a beautiful and amazing culture but sanitizing is just not there. They compensate the lack of water supplies and hygiene by using A LOT of spices and different hot sauces/peppers so you don’t catch a salmonella after eating some rice. They all live like that, no matter if they’re kids or not. My wife is from the south of Uttar Pradesh, from a village with 2500 people living there. She said that they almost NEVER washed any of the food and running water was a huge commodity that they used not to wash food before preparation but to give it to cows, wash themselves and water plants/crops. So yeah, sorry for making assumptions but it’s just the way I think it is. I would gladly believe otherwise though, India is a developing country, so I think in around 30-40 years at least half of the population will at least have toilets.

The more wealthier individuals I encounter I learn that poorer people are way more giving even having less. So its not about choosing the situation you were born into.
