We just added a clay brick wood fired oven to our outdoor cooking set! So excited to start making recipe vids with this thing.

This is exactly what I'd imagine a pizza to be like - and I've seen many - trust me. The best "Pizzavideo" on youtube I've seen so far.

It's rare to find non-italian people who make a true pizza napoletana. Congratz :)

Wow, what a wonderful looking pizza. I respect the man who cooks pizza the way it's really supposed to be cooked. Excellent job, bravo.

Char equals flavor. Sugars caramelize and gives your pizza more flavor so good job!
@fidelmontoya12 жыл бұрын
I was about to post the very same comment. Perfect amount of char!! I'm almost finished building my own wood fired pizza oven and love watching these videos. If you want to see my construction updates in progress see "My Wood Fired Brick Oven In Japan - Part 1" There are 8 parts to see. More to come!

I know, I have a dry sense of humour. There is no American language even thought I just spelled humor like the British rather than us Americans. Thanks for the help. The video really is great.

Nice set up! Pizza looked great! I noticed you don't use a dough docker for your pizza doughs. That will help prevent a lot of the big bubbles, but I actually kinda like some bubbles on my pizzas. Very nice ovens you have, and I want one that is somewhat portable. For now I'll just have to use my kettle pizza insert for my Weber grill, but it does do a good job for home pizza making, but I've always wanted a real wood fired pizza oven :) Thanks for the video and tips! New subscriber BTW!

Hey, great stuff....So how much does it really matter which type of wood you use outside of sappy wood? Can I use say a combination of differnt woods and not have to worry about it affecting the flavor?

I love the wood fired oven... I'm working with a charcoal grill that's been very hard to get up past 650, so it's not quite as good, but I'm working on it.

If you can't find basil try spinach. It tastes different from basil, ofcourse, but it works. And it looks quite similar. And a pizza with spinach looks and tastes better than one with cheese and tomato sauce alone..............

I'm just starting out in the wood-fired oven game although have been making pizzas (as an amateur) for a while. However I know my dough is too dry and takes a lot more rolling out than this one. Can you help with a recipe or better directions for the dough (and pos a tomato sauce!) to help us get closer to the authentic Italian style - thanks

not bad for an amateur doesn't look bad trying to make an authentic MARGHERITA although your dough looks too sticky and hard to handle, I'M an italian I was born in napoli italy and I make pizza for a living here in the states in south florida but in florida only 9 years in new york 30 . and american pizza and italian pizza are two different birds altogether both good and both with an authentic different taste but anyway my compliments to you, nice video

Richard Gazinya there’s no way the temperature is what he says it is, the dough was too wet with the first one hence the jump in the edit, there’s too much sauce at the start, the one he put in you could see the dough being dragged onto the floor from the peel as he takes it out.
