I was doing a ski show in Vail, CO one time. We had to shoot a concert after the ski show. Our entire crew had been on the clock since 4:AM and we had an intern order 20 pizzas for the crew at about 9:PM. She ordered 20 veggie pizzas. Yea she was not called back the next year.

Sucks that they stiffed you on the pepperoni, but I think it's great you can get pizza delivered in the harbor; I never knew that. FWIW, Danfords charges an arm and a leg just to land a tender there, so twenty bucks for the launch seems par for the course. We often just stay on board in that harbor.

"Ouch!" on the pizza pricing, but at least you can get a launch boat delivery. It reminds me of a U.S. regulation that I assume came into effect post 'September event' and can't find to check the exact wording on at the moment. It was a list of places you can't moor or anchor near unless you have valid business being there (petroleum, chemical, LNG, etc. terminals, cruise ship dock areas, USCG or military areas, bridges, etc...) but it also included something like 'near public use facilities' as well. The examples for that included stuff like parks, movie theaters, and stores. The result to me was that we can never have the kind of continuous cruising environment that they have on the English canal system. They just moor next to the side of a random grocery store and go in to do their shopping, or stop at any old road bridge to get a pizza delivery from the local town.
