Well if he means the most widely available and consistent quality for a fair price, I guess for a lot of people KO's are the "best" they will encounter on a regular basis. I've lived in the northeast, the midwest, and the southeast US and for better or worse KO's are always in every supermaket. Best tasting? Most premium? Not by a long shot. But you can do a lot worse in the sardine game for sure. I look at them as a gateway product...the best beginner sardines you can get. Are there going to be any Nuri or Porthos or Espinaler fans giving them a second look? Probably not.

Excellent YT! Lived in NYC-NJ 70+ years. Watching NYC area waterway's traffic is fascinating to see. Viewing tugs at work and listening on occasion via scanner was an enjoyable highlight of my NYC area experience. Amazing to learn from Google that steam powered tugs are about 225 years old, from 1801 in Scotland. Thanks for sharing.

New format is definitely better than no video, for sure! The voice over is actually fine for listening--the problem I was having hearing you when you would give an "aside" is no longer evident, but I don't know if that's because of the new microphone or if it would have been eliminated anyway because of the voiceover. While I love wind (and standing, say, at the bow of a ferry with the weather full on in my face), it's no bueno when trying to listen to a video, and that is definitely gone with the voiceover. We understand why you're doing what you're doing, grateful to your company for working with you and continuing to allow these to happen, and good job on the new camera angles and continuing to gain photo skills. Keeps those brain cells alive and working!! Thanks again!

Thanks for the share Capt Tim! The boat views are new, seeing the STBD aft is very cool but my opinion whatever you can do it always is a privilege that I am able to sit on that rail and enjoy the day to day with the big thanks to the company which allows us aboard! Great great people there for sure. Nothing beats 'being in the wheelhouse' with you Cap, it's as great as any on the water training I can think of, and I could believe that this alone can inspire many to pursue a career in the Merchant Marine. You're still producing great videos Tim. Regarding the sound from radio conversations, could you use a separate small handheld radio and take the sound off that? Then again, I know you are using up to three channels for different purposes, so I guess that wouldn't work.

When I was in the Navy doing tug duty, '66-'69, we had metal lines. I also rode Super Tankers. When you were doing a figure eight on a tug to tie up to an FBM submarine you better be fast. Not to mention the metal splinters you could end up with. Those 3AM calls to bring in an FBM meant you were underway around 0100. Great explanation and great work.

I actually prefer the new format. I was constantly having trouble following your explanations with the crew communications always interrupting your thoughts; your thought delivery is smoother and more complete with the "new" system of voice-over. I think there is also a lot less opportunity for accidents with your thought process entirely on the job-at-hand rather than the need to be providing explanations for everything you were doing; if it was the Company that was forcing the change, I agree with them for the safety aspect. Thank you for doing what you do.

Don't mind the new format. Anyone who says that the live narration was a distraction to your job performance may be mistaken. I learned boat handling from a fellow doing just that. All he did was explain his action and the reason for doing so. If his reasoning came to question, to himself, he would argue corrections untill it seemed right to him. Best way to learn logical reasoning.

I'll be watching as long as you post videos. I pretty much lost my sea legs over the last few years so I don't even take my center console 22' out anymore. Talking to my son about whether we should sell it or if he wants to use it or not. Via your videos which ever format or here or the sailboat I still get to see what I enjoyed for a lot of years.

Hi Tim. The format is growing better with every iteration. Keep tweaking things as you go and improvement will happen. The microphone is fine if you hadn’t said anything I wouldn’t have noticed. Would you be able to plant a recording device in the upper house and then add the radio traffic into the video without violating your agreement with your employer? I realize the editing challenge would grow logarithmically but it’s a possible solution. ( I love thinking up stuff that make others have to work harder )🤠 Anyway, stay safe and avoid the lee shore. CUOTO, Ed

Took awhile to locate you on Google Earth (Not that familiar with the local names). Can really tell that you are putting a lot of imagination into overcoming the restrictions to avoid distractions. The 360 is nice but it's resource use is not matched be it's editorial use. Seemed like a simple trip and as you were describing the garbage I thought I detected something falling from that gantry. Enjoyed the video as always.😀Sound was fine.
