this was an skip race,that's mean than you need to pass with 1 frame animation of the tornado noise,and you can pass wihout are in the race,because this count as speed squat in this part.(but i am not an TAS but i already did it)

What’s that trick you do where you bounce off the wall and instantly go to mach 3 without entering and being stuck in the drill?

it's somewhat unrealistic for humans to pull off, but it's called a grounded hyperwoost. It's performed the same way as a regular hywoost but you need to be within 10 pixels of the ground to not get stuck in the tornado state
