I would never miss her acting in 'National Velvet' alongwith Liz Taylor, which was released in early 40s. Very intelligent and gorgeous actress, we would miss.

This was an excellent homage to Angela Lansbury and a great tribute. She was a Leading Lady in this role, because she brought Flory to life and made her a truly empathetic character I cared about as I watched this. Thank you SO much for posting this, it shows how amazing she was as an Actor. She will be immortal for however long recordings of her acting are viewed and that's quite a legacy.

What is truly amazing is that many wonderful actors are sadly passing. However they are living much longer than they did 60 yrs ago and that makes me very happy because we are lucky enough to see them much longer. Shout out to the wizard of Menlo park for making it possible to continue watching them , even when they are gone. Thank you for making my life so much more enjoyable by featuring them on film. For 65 yrs I've been in 7th heaven and I really appreciate it! RIP Angela, you were among the giants and now your in grand company.

Morris Ankrum born in 1897 in Illinois; died in Pasadena in 1964 at age 68 of trichinosis!.... He was only 56 here but he looks 75. He played the judge on many episodes of Perry Mason. He also had a law degree from USC and taught economics at Berkeley before teaching Drama and directing at the Pasadena playhouse.

For those of you that enjoy trivia, 1977 James Coburn did Schlitz Light Beer commercials. Years later as a guest on a talk show, he said it was the worst beer he had ever drank. I believe he was paid 1 million dollars for that gig. Mesa, AZ October 15, 2022
