I remember joking with my brother that if this series had ever done Moriarty, they probably would have cast Eugene Deckers. (Because he was on SO many episodes, and almost always played the villain) And then our late-night laughs turned to eerie silence as we both considered, what if he WAS playing Moriarty all along?! I mean, we never see him get killed. And, every appearance has him in some other get-up or with different facial hair. Perhaps they're just disguises to fool the police & maybe even Dr. Watson. But maybe Holmes knows... Perhaps there's a deeper game of cat and mouse being played here between the brilliant detective and his arch rival, who keeps setting-up small brain food whilst covering up his real, gigantic, sinister plot! Or maybe it's just an over reaching fan theory. But still, he was in The Redheaded League... And Moriarty was connected to that in the books! Who knows. :P

As an Irishman, this is a beautiful portrayal in so many levels. The English loved the Irish, I wish we only knew it, well on some level they loved us. (and why wouldn't they, lol). As for the story, it was just a magicians trick dramatised. As for seeing his native shore, what poor peasant doesn't want to return to his place of birth after witnessing the real world.
@YaamiNagvanshi_JayGopal2 жыл бұрын
No they didn't..The English or British attacked and tyrannized Ireland as well as Scotland with their manipulative tactics...and destroyed its culture too...I've seen and heard and read so many real stories and so many wonderful tales about Ireland and how it used to be in the golden old times...I also know about the wars and attacks and how some brave Irishmen fought for their freedom and for their country from the power-hungry, cruel British gov.. Not a surprise, this episode was perfectly shown....how the poor Irish are tricked by their schemes...Selfishness, ego, hollow kind of cold heartedness and treachery is the English or British personality, generally speaking...while the Irish and Scottish country people are known as more warm, kinder in comparison, naivety, good heart, .. Not all, mind, other elements like individual characteristics would be considered, but the people of the country as a whole, this is true... At least, the country of British I know as they've looted and stolen from my own country as well and where it was pure, great, wonderful, divine prospering and laden with good culture, joy, harmony, happiness, clean, pure, and with sacred riches with so much history all stolen, our kings dethroned and beloved royal families tyrannized...and now all such physical wealth stolen, wealth with meaning and symbolism, leaving all people poor and destitute & such conditions build inferiority, where there once was self respect and turn against eachother... anyhow, it is a tragic reality. I've seen something of the historical places where British used to capture and torture innocent, poor people of my country in the name of tax...and they came as guests, then tried to divide the people against eachother and take over....as 'take over the world' was their general motto. Sherlock Holmes is the only good part and its an individual's portrayal of a good, kind, warm, innocent and genius smart, detective character.
