One of my favorite PJ Harvey songs. It has the feel of a Western or Spanish ballad. So beautiful and haunting. The erotic cries she adds at 1:53 in the song are unexpected (to the first time listener) and perfect. They add to the sense of longing and unfulfilled love.

You weren't kidding about the cried. Hahaha. Im zoning on the bus next thing I know I got PJ Harvey orgasm in my ear.

PJ is incredible, and beyond but her band, goddamn they are killing it. They are lucky, she's lucky. Precious collaboration.

Indeed it is. Actually quite funny, I remember seeing a decent copy of this somewhere years ago but wasn't able to find it later on, I then found out that I had a copy myself on my old workstation, so this is the upload, don't know if there's a better copy out there.

That's so cool to being playing guitar with a paint brush as an artist and Rocker just had to point that one out don't think I ever saw anyone do that I like P.J Harvey's voice alot she sounds very similar to patti smith alot like this one and her voice caries some soul in it just great musicianship

I love how she ditched the whole angst ridden emasculating vamp thing of the first two albums and made songs like this.
