Nice footage of that powerstation Peter. It is a CCGT type power station using natural gas. Phase 1 consists of three 166 MW gas turbines with three heat recovery steam generators. Those ladies in the hut were very ignorant!

Hi P J, thank you for this calm and sensible video, last night I watched two videos of audits, one from P T T P and one from R O A, both were if anything far too exciting!. From the drone footage at the end where we can clearly see a set of yellow plastic pipes coming from the ground in the foreground, passing over the road and going to the distribution network to the boilers, they look to me very much like gas pipes so I also think it is gas powered station, one of the smaller, cheaper ones that were so popular during the decline of coal burners. You watch hundreds of videos where male security are nobs and then a single video with female security being nobs and come to the conclusion that female security are the problem? All that says to me is that both male and female security can be nobs. That being said, it was the same type of interaction. Fear, hiding from cameras, saying no to the drone. But it's interesting that an identical reaction resulted in different behaviour to the male security that we've seen thus far.

@@ElliottParkinson I have seen hundreds of vids with female security and female cops. Female coppers lie to try to enforce laws that are non existent, a few have been ok. Female security only seen one interact professionally the others get knickers in a twist get defensive. All you have to be is firm truthful run policy of the company polite and a smile. Yep men are just as bad. Low wages usually low life employment. All security and police need more training. Not just two weeks and on job training pick it up as you go along

Shutting the gate is simply a means of making sure you can't claim public access.

"Public access" isn't something that's claimed. Its "permitted" (permission) by the landowners, or granted in the property deeds.

If it is open without a barrier or with a barrier which has been left open then there is implied public access. While I think all auditors are idiots. I’m glad to see you fling more responsible. Keep well clear of the property with the drone and use its camera . Don’t fly directly over and annoy others. We don’t need any further laws regulating use of drones. Fly responsibly, even if you can’t act that way. And get a hair cut your not 19 anymore.

So funny, that you are upset by hair style!!! Flying directly over is not aproblem when using a drone of such light weight. I have flown over such sites in aircraft and helicopters at 1500 feet. Just avoid the sources of heat and resulting unstable air .

I think you went a little too far with this one pj. Others have put (albeit more rudely) a similar sentiment across. Security attempted to block you from entering site. Does this not revoke your implied rights of access? In my opinion, this could have been done better by not entering after they closed the gate on you, and continuing with the drone and rest of the video. Leaving the audit at them not interacting with you. I think you need to think a little further ahead. As auditors become more prevalent, companies will likely start implementing a no interactions policy. People will start to see you as a nuisance. You need to be able to evolve the videos to be interesting even if there is no interaction. This was a missed opportunity to practice that.

The company placed a public facing communications system at the gate and then failed to adhere to using it. The company cant then expect the public to pay attention to the gate, if they cant pay attention to the intercom.
