Nice job, when I spun in the seventies, I always closed the club with this @ The Bitter End West in W. Hollywood in 1973; many did not know Barbabra could sing, and sing she does very well!

She does a nice job on this. Love the Marvelettes version too. I remember an automated radio station playing McNair's version in the early 70s. They never announced who was singing so it took me awhile to discover who it was.

I'm from England, live in Amsterdam and bought this album over here!!= Here I am Baby is far better by Barbara Mcnair than the Marvelettes ( as much as I Love them ) Her version is beautiful. I was so sorry to hear that she'd passed away as she was such a beautiful and talented person R.I.P Barbara- You will be sadly missed

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! I like this version a little better then the original but.........I also like the orginial as well too. I think this version is a bit MORE seductive the way a MAN would like to hear a woman sang it.

It is a great song. It should have been bigger, but one of Motown's "problems" was having too much good material on their plate.

Cool=looking album. Nice version of this Smokey tune. Ii know it quite well by the Marvellettes.

Barbara McNair had real talent as a singer. I bet if she had put all her efforts into becoming a singer instead of an actress, she could have easily become more popular than Diana Ross.

I agree. I will have the whole thing posted on my other page soon

BARBARA MCNAIR was simply a Great Singer that didn't sleep with The Boss so The Boss looked to an inferior but agreeable Singer.

I don't know it by The Marvellettes.. I must investigate.

BARBARA MCNAIR was a better SINGER than DIANA ROSS shows you need more than talent to be a SUPERSTAR
