In 1967, I used to live in Lahore, Pakistan. As a 9 year old child, 4th grader I visited my uncle in Sialkot, Pakistan where I first heard the song and ever since this became my favorite. The record and the player belonged to my uncle but I could not stop playing it agin and again. 57 years later while living as a retired physician in Dallas, TX with my wife, daughter, her husband and 2 beautiful grand children, while surfing the KZbin, at 11:49 pm I suddenly came across the Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood "Summer wine". I do not know where those 57 years went but the sweet and refreshing taste of "Summer Wine" is still the same!

The million people who purchased "Sugar Town" in late 1966/early 1967 must have been very pleased to turn the single over and hear this gorgeous song. So amazing that the song ended up getting enough airplay to chart as a B side at #49 before being set aside by Nancy & Frank's monster duet "Something Stupid" (produced by Hazelwood), which had just been released. But Nancy & Lee would continue to release duets & hit the top 40 three times. Must have been very gratifying for Lee, who until then, had been behind the scenes writing and producing Nancy's hits.

What a sensuous duet this was from two talented people. Great song. Yeah, Nancy and Lee were gorgeous together.

There is a little lick from the James Bond Theme there. Nice plug into the storyline of the song.

I thought the same thing. If you strip out the vocals, it could be a soundtrack from a Bond movie.

True. Also sounds like a song that could show up in a Tarantino movie.

De gyönyörű ez a nő. Annyira imádom a haját. Nagy kár, hogy már nem hordják így a nők a hajukat.

Always loved this duet w/ Nancy (my childhood crush) and Lee. His voice is true baritone just as mine is. Wonderful memories! ‘She took my silver spurs a dollar and a dime….and left me craving for ….more summer wine!’
