Well done on looking to let the fish recover before the photo ( even if it was at the expense of getting the trophy snap) ! Beautiful fish and gorgeous surroundings. Im planning a trip myself soon. Tight Lines.

Nice fash Paul! I'm up in a few weeks on the Tay. Hopefully, this hurricane will have eased off a little so I can chuck a flee out without taking my head clean off! I don't mind a bit of cold, but I hate when it's blowing a whoolie!

Thanks ! Good luck on the mighty Tay! Hope the weather calms down for you. We're are back on the Avon now. It's banging through at pace. Heavy flies and sink tips are just about getting down. Visibility is good. I'll be up on the Tyne in a few months. It will nice to meet you and have a wee fish together. Perhaps we can make a collabirative video for our subscribers. Tight lines for 2020!

@@PaulGreenacre. Sounds good mate. Message me closer to the time and what beat you're on. Just come back from a week on the Tay. Complete disaster! River just too high. Not a glimmer of hope for a bit fish! Just sat back at home now in a big huff!

Another great video Paul. Welldone 🎣. Am a fly man, but always wondered the techniques on worming. Keep the videos coming. You should check out the River Conon 🎣👍

I'm the same fly wise but I'd like to give the worms a go some time!

I think the fish was nearer 22lb than 18lb. At that size the wright of a fish can be very deceptive.

The new GoPro 8 is out which looks pretty good but I haven't tried it. I'm using last year's 7 model which I have really happy with. Have a look at some of the videos on my channel. The latest video is all done on GoPro 7

that bouncing Betty is almost the same as drifting worms using a lead weight system called a slinky .

Why do people fish so late in the season for coloured fish like that
