No , it wasn’t one of the earliest revisions, that was when pactor was introduced on a eprom update, this one has multiple coloured leds, most of the earlier one’s were all red, a history of the pk 232 mx, is on the net, along with the manuals for installation of hardware and software, from 51/4 floppy drives, and dos 5: to the pkterm 99:software, with psk soundcards etc,

And generally read the instructions, would be helpful, l have used those tnc,s for years, right from the very first, up to the latest versions, in all walks of life, and they perform effortlessly, and are very reliable, l still use one that has a pk31 soundcard board in it, so, yep, we will see what happens, ?

a thermal imager gun would come in handy for you to check heat or an infra-red gun which is very cheap. 0-40 bucks.

Well, hopefully, part two won’t be so full of glaring errors, as the saying goes, research, research, research,

Nathan, you've got me sitting on the edge of my seat. Where's part 2? Oh, and your PK-232MBX is not one of the earliest models. It's actually one of the later model MBXs.

Part 2 is coming sometime soon, I am waiting on a parts order, and doing some travel for my day job, so I haven't had a chance to shoot any video.

You must send a "*" 8 for AutoBaud routine to negotiate the serial line
