Interested to see what you did with the prototype. I would also like your thoughts on vent management as the fire snakes closer to the “low” side of the low and slow configuration.

The short answer is that I don't notice any big difference. It works just fine with this setup.

Hank, is the PK grill really worth the crazy price? In the UK it retails for around $800...

Hi Andrew! Very good question, I guess it’s up to personal preference. I really like the PK TX, very sturdy and well functioning. I upgraded because I wanted the new bottom and top vents. Design-wise I dig the old school legs and shelf, resembles a 1960’s drink/serving table. But comparing dollar for dollar, purely on features, I think the PK original is a more economic choice.

Have you started selling the snake charmer?
@HanksTrueBBQ7 ай бұрын
No I haven’t. Or I did sell a few, but I wasn’t prepared to start manufacturing unfortunately. It’s easy to do with a pair of bricks or similar anyway.

If price wasnt an issue. But you could only purchase one. Weber 22 or pk300?
@HanksTrueBBQ2 жыл бұрын
Well, I’ve never been a Weber fan boy. Yes, they make good grills, but I prefer the cast aluminum over thin pressed sheet metal. So my pick is the PK. Grate area is slightly smaller on the PK, so for briskets you need the Weber. But for that I just use my offset 😄

@@HanksTrueBBQ I was thinking the same thing, i was wondering how i was gonna fit 2 racks of ribs on the Pk.
