Tbh the “priest’s kid born with a long head” theory makes sense, Spanish in Spain can have a very lisp-y sound to it, apparently because a king had a lisp so everyone did it out of respect so he wasn’t the odd one out

A lot of people believe that wherever liquid water exists life also exists, one of the ways to prove this quickly is to send a mission to Europa and dig under the ice on that moon until your under the ice and in the water below to see if life exists there too. Saying life doesn't exist outside of earth is like taking a spoonful of the ocean and saying there is no fish in the sea because there isn't any in your spoon.
@justinlast2lastharder749
@justinlast2lastharder749 2 жыл бұрын
Liquid Methane is not Water...My belief is Life probably exists outside of Earth, but isn't likely to be more advanced than we are. We'd see signs of life if that were the case. We aren't looking at a current version of anything in the Universe outside of Earth, we are looking at hundreds of thousands to Millions of years ago. If there was life on their planets then, we'd see some signs of it. Taking evidence available, we may well be the most advanced civilization in the KNOWN Universe, which is a small portion of what is really out there. For all we know, we may become the "Alien Visitors" that some other beings make up a creation mythology to explain away.

Reminds me of the Deathworlders series. In those stories, it turns out the reason aliens haven't openly made contact with us yet is because they're absolutely fucking terrified of us. Looking at some stuff on the Internet, it's kind of easy to see why that might be the case...

One time we were at a friend's house that lived rural miles away from my house. Nothing but open fields untill my house and the city. Well one night his dad was losing his shit so we climbed out his bedroom window and decided to walk to my house at 12 at night. When we were really far from his house walking out there I noticed some lights out in the field from us and I said why is there street lights over there. My friend said that there aren't any street lights out here. Dumb question on my part but then all of a sudden they shot off into the sky and disappeared. We lost our shit. This was in 2013.

The question of why we don't see any alien life anywhere is theoretically answered by the existence of a Great Filter: a phenomenon that any life comes across at some point that eliminates all of them without fail. A Great Filter would have to be something that is either a difficulty or trial that exists in the course of evolution for all life anywhere and is insurmountable, or that it's a piece of technology that every intelligent society discovers but is unable to handle without it killing them all off. In which case, this Great Filter could either be something that we passed at some point very fortunately, OR....it's right around the corner for us.

Considering that most war is based on resource scarcity and that scarcity pretty much disappears once you conquer faster than light travel because the universe is so full of resources that sometimes it's literally just floating in space tied to no specific planet. If that's the case then there's a good chance that they're several generations past their last war so Kyle's theory of them being peaceful explorers that we could easily kill and steal from is pretty good. The only thing is that if that's true then it could be our test to treat them kindly and we might just be given the tech that we might have otherwise stolen from them.
