Gym class is probably the most useless class. The only time we ever did anything was when someone important came to observe the class otherwise it was sitdown in the corner or play basketball.

I thought my school was the only one that nobody showered in. They were there and the gym teachers pointed it out that it was kinda weird we didn't but these weren't private stalls, it was ring of shower heads that make it so you're facing the people on the other side. Like no shit none of wanted to do that.

My high school in the UK had two great teachers who taught metal work and woodwork respectively and each term they had a dare War, it was one dare each on last day of each term and they would both ask us pupils for ideas to beat the other. There was nothing stupidly dangerous but two of my personal favourites were using a forklift to hide the head masters car and sneaking a cow into the wood shop and keep it there all day. The second was brilliant because other teachers heard the moos and would investigate. Fun times

Tig doesn't shoot a thing of plasma. It is an electrical arc with shield gas, and the gas keeps the filler material from separating from the stock you're welding. The arc simply produces enough heat/energy for the molecules of the stock to become excited enough to bond with the filler material, and the gas ensures it happens without problems caused by the environment (oxygen, dust particles, moisture content, etc. )

The wrestling coach and football coach of my school both taught history and they were fun teachers to have. The wrestling coach would sometimes say fuck it and just let us watch KZbin or play on our phones. The football coach would just do story time and tell us about the shit he did when he was younger.

Went to a tiny private school. Loved my teachers, especially the English ones, except my 11th and 12 grade French teacher, who one day made a legitimately inappropriate comment towards me and my dating life. The school had money, but we barely had any for P.E. Instead, we had to take a sport. I sucked at tennis, but still loved playing it. Then I quit musical theater and choir in 12th grade for a variety of reasons, the main one being to focus on academics. Taking 4 APs, even with a study hall, was a HUGE mistake and I missed out on a lot because of it, including a philosophy elective with one of my favorite teachers. We couldn't BS any assignments, either. Some of my classes had as few as 4 students, so the teacher was sure to carefully read and grade every single assignment. Only in AP Calc would the teacher curve the tests, but she kinda owed us for being such a senile, old, terrible teacher. In general, it was a terrible time, all four years, as all my peers were spoiled rich kids and I was poor. Because there were so few of us, we were all basically stuck with each other, and because I was seen as weak at the time, I got taken advantage of and bullied quite a bit. It was never physical, but very emotional, for example neglect or just being put down a lot. Got to the point where I got so sick of it I'd actively tell people to their face that I didn't like them and for them to get away from me, that I couldn't wait to graduate and never see any of them ever again, etc. At least the bullying stopped after that! 😆

I had a state tourism and travel class in school, sounds kinda boring and it was, but it was meant to allow students in that class to travel on field trips to state parks etc to learn the tourism industry, we only went on two field trips, one was to watch some Shakespeare play in a theater and the other was touring the state museum and the state Capitol building, which was arguably pretty cool, we broke into the Supreme Court room and the governors office the representatives chambers and got up on the restricted tier of the rotunda. Had we not all been 16 and 17 we would’ve been sent to prison, although the Master at Arms basically let us roam free unmolested in areas we clearly shouldn’t have been
