I served for Woody once, it was a calm December night at Waffle House. I noticed this couple come in with their boy, I instantly realized it was my idol, woodysgamertag. I frolicked up them with a smile on my face and welcomed woody to our fine establishment. To my horror he said to me “ it is Matthew Woodworth to you”, i immediately apologized and went to walk them to there table. Woody then told his wife Jackie “ watch this babe”, and kicked me in the shins, he then grabbed his paramotor and turned it on inside the restaurant. He crackled in laughter as the patrons had their food and drink spilled everywhere.

I don't believe that Woody is mean to waitstaff. I think he might get stern in response to bad service, but he's not mean in general. However, the meme is hilarious and will never leave me like my dad did. Woody backhands any waitress that looks him in the eye!

As someone who used to be in that business I personally think he's kind of rude to wait staff. It's pretty often he puts out the vibe that he thinks he's better than these people. His overall perceptions are based off of someone who's been privileged his whole life. He treats a lot of people like garbage and thinks they're beneath him. Believe it or not I'm not a woody hater I just think it's pretty cringe how he treats other people and holds other people to his privileged standards.

I've been a server, I've worked back of house (alot more) I've worked alongside shithead servers (college girls from mass, literally any other demographic does their job just fine) and I've been a customer given good service, and a customer given bad service. But between me and you Eric, don't teach Woody or the other guests who might be reading this right now how to cut the refrigerant lines for the walk in. HONESTLY, WHATEVER YOU DO; DO NOT TELL THE FANS THAT IF A RESTAURANT FUCKS YOU OVER, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PLACE A STRONG BOLTCUTTER ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE CONDUIT OF THE TWO CONDUITS RUNNING UP THE WALL TO THE WALK IN. @maxwellhesher1790Ай бұрын
@@malachipeterson1562It’s very standard to do that, and the IRS can really only come after you for stated income you’re making as a waiter. If the bill tip says zero, that’s what gets entered into the system. I absolutely do not mind when customers do it with cash. People will write “no tax” on their bills when tipping and paying with card though, and that’s impossible.

I've been a chef for several decades. Being abusive towards restaurant staff as a White customer is lose/lose from every possible angle, more so in the last decade.10 years ago , it would have been in ways you'd never know ; now, it might get you tossed out & banned, or even lead to an actual confrontation." The customer is always right" no longer exists as a concept; now, it's more like " if you don't want to cook yourself, you should stfu." Unfortunately, I think this is more artributable to the pseudo Marxist/ anti elitist mentality of those that are actually the new elites.If you act like a savage hyena and you're a woman or a minority of any description, - then, it will be made into the businesses problem and shortcomings.

@TheFraz13Ай бұрын
None of these guys have worked in restaurants and it shows. Like kyle claiming the waitress 'snitched' on them, when in reality it would be part of your job to tell managers about customers complaints which I guarantee is why your service improved after. Not to mention the speed of the salad/soup/food in general has nothing to do with the service staff assuming they put the order in correctly. Still absolutely love the show from way back but if you haven't worked hospitality things happen that are outside of your control. Its likely the server hadn't cleared/taken a new order for drinks because they were slammed with other tables. Finally, when food comes out wrong its normally half the time the servers fault and the other half the fault of the kitchen.

@kevinwalter2674Ай бұрын
The wife and I go out to eat way too often. Sometimes multiple times per week. Not once, no matter how bad the service has been, have we ever been rude to wait staff. Not once. We've never stiffed anyone on the tip, we've never gotten verbally abusive or sarcastic with them. I think it's similar to the people who take the cart to the cart corral or back to the store or whatever. The choice of leaving it in the parking lot or putting it where it belongs is a major tell for the character of someone. How you treat wait staff is that same major tell. The job is generally high demand, dealing with assholes is an every day occurrence, and the vast majority of them really don't make a lot of money unless they work in a really upscale restaurant and are getting 20% on $100+ orders every table.
@kevinwalter2674Ай бұрын

I have run restaurants from plain burgers to high-end. At every single one EVERY server who was worth a damn made as much as or more than the GM executive chef etc. Waffle house employees can easily make $80-100 a night.
