PKHeX: Solving the PID Problem

Hey all, if I haven't answered your question, it's likely because I don't know, haha. I'm no expert on this stuff, I just happened to know a few things about PKHeX and this was a common problem. Just figured this would help

Easy way to give good stats is to edit the pokemon in egg it makes ez after hatches or make it as trade egg

Thank you! I was having issues with some of my legal pokemon simply detecting as illegal from this gen due to some mishaps when I was young but now I can make them legal again :)

With the help of about the first 2 minutes of this guide, I was able to make deoxys read as legal. So thanks for that.

I wondered for a while why only my Persian was giving me the error but then I remembered that I edited it's IVs to my desired numbers but now I have to change it slightly to an acceptable PID.

I'm having the encounter PID mismatch problem with Alcremie. Everything I can find on this problem says it's Gen 4 and 5 specifically but Alcremie is Gen 7.

I've been trying to legalize my Shiny Faraway island Mew all day I got the PID and Iv's he needs to be Shiny and Quirky legally But when I put the PID and Ivs in it swaps the Nature and Shinies to somthing else Any ideas what's going on?

Hey man thanks for letting me know that the ivs cant be straight 31 I was trying to make all 31 ivs chimchar and 0 iv on special attack and found out I can't. I would also like to ask if starter is counted stationary or wild pokemon if you have any knowledge about it.

How would i go about generating a shiny rayquaza from either ruby, sapphire or emerald?

In the RNG reporter, use either method H-1, H-2, or H-4 which are for gen 3 games. In the encounter type drop down menu, use Stationary Pokémon, since Rayquaza is a stationary encounter. Before hitting generate, check the "shiny only" box. That should do it.

@@GuardianArcanine Okay, so i tried it and everything was fine, i put the PID in, put the stats in, and it now classed rayquaza as “legal” which is great, but if i try and move it to my box or click “set”, then it just changes it back to normal, and when i make it shiny and try to save it, it says “type PID mismatch”

I know that you can hyper train them in PKHeX but as far as wild encounter perfect IVs go, I'm not sure there is one for back in those games. pkhex keeps saving as corrupt when i export my saves i've been using pkhex since 2014 back with XY gen what could i be doing wrong it worked like a month after the DLC came out then started corrupting luckily i have back ups

I have no idea... that sounds like maybe an installation problem; just a guess though, I've never seen that problem myself. I'd recommend visiting the Project Pokemon forums with this. Sorry I can't be of more help on this one.

Yes. So long as they pass the legality check, they're always usable online. Genned is not the same as hacked.

Put current handler to a different name, OT should be yours, for current handler (below your ot) type in some random name and it should be fixed

You'll want to find the box in the RNG Reporter that says "Shiny Only" and click it to checkmark that box. With this, the RNG Reporter will give you values only on shiny versions of that Pokémon, if it exists, which it always should in those games. The results just may be a bit more limited since a more select number of combinations will yield a shiny version of that specific Pokémon that you're looking for. If you don't come up with any results, select a wider range of results on the Max Results box and you'll get some eventually I think. Hope this helps.
