To all PKR lawmakers, thanks a lot for highlighting this critical issues in the country. The private hospitals are definitely required to look into the feasibility study to attain equitable fair costs to consumers as they largely impact the financial burden to the public. Hopefully a good follow up is pursued for this important national issue. Job well done YBs.

Government should have done this years ago. Every years this medical insurances has risen due to private hospital charges to patients and if patients has medical insurance the charges will be much higher. Also when patients was in the hospitals there are so many sorts of charges thst not necessary need but included and so the cost sky rockets charges into medical insurance claims and at the end insurance companies which increase consumer insurance premiums.

I've been to the same hospital asking for the same procedure, once with cash, the next time with insurance, I find that it is more expensive with insurance. Either the hospital pocket the money or they both working together.

I have witnessed a doctor at the A&E of a private hospital scolding the nurses there by saying "How could you call me without the medical insurance being processed through? This is unacceptable!" the doctor shouted. That was an eye opener. No wonder there's this old saying that only doctors and lawyers are found in Hell.

Yes. Please Check the private hospital. Earnings millions at the expense of the people. Please check the doctors colluding with the insurance companies. And also please check the insurance companies increasing their premiums.

Go check the inflated cost for insured person as compare to uninsured person. Go check the medicine cost of private hospital as compared to local pharmacy and see the vast difference.
@leelaitiam1913 күн бұрын
Always many times the item in pharmacy!!!. If Dr has a dato title rate also higher. Dr also has incentive to advise more unnecessary procedures to collect more fees.
@leelaitiam1913 күн бұрын
If you are insured, hospital and drs charge a much much higher rate than when you are not insured and pay from own pocket. If you get treatment from govt hospital also much more cheaper than private hospital. Govt need to upgrade hospital. Need to send duit Rakyat wisely, construction better hospital thru reliable contractors, suppliers,etc not crony crony being given contracts,ime what happened in previous govt. Need to change only the best and competent get contract and to provide supplies.

Should consider : 1. To open an option for people to buy insurance without agent to make sure all the premiums goes to our policy instead of the agents. 2. To motivate those unclaim customer or customer above 10 years instead of simply increase premiums outside the policy. 3. Private Hospital should follows the national procedure to avoid unnecessary surgery 4. To have a different charges between Malaysian and non-Malaysian(eg: Singapore)

Just go to any private hospital and ask the price of procedure/surgery with and without insurance. With insurance, the price could be more than double. Hospitals charge all they want and insurance companies don't care. Guess who foots the bill eventually?

Higher isurance premium will ultimately force the general public to flock to Gov't Hospital for treatment or procedures thus making it a bottle neck and pushing these hospitals to their limits.. MOF and Bank Negara MUST do something before its too late.

Our previous government and government servant (not politicians but kakitangan kerajaan) learnt well from USA to keep escalating medicare. Instead of having it as to serve the rakyat they turn it as profit organization. When a hospital confirmed that a patient have insurance they will admit the patient according to the insurance coverage level. By doing these why would insurance premium increased? Of course insurance companies also part of the problem as they get more and more greedy
@azmiabdulljalil703113 күн бұрын
So easy to check.See what the private hospital charge if the patient is paying thgh insurance compared to paying privately.Also check if the private hospitals recommend unnecessary checking and procedures when the patient is paying through insurance because they know the insurance company can afford to pay.

They can get the informative data from the transfer cases from private healthcare to government hospital. According to my friend, government hospital ( Penang General Hospital) has told her that the private hospital which referred her case to GH had conducted a few of the unnecessary procedures for her. This is one of the main reasons for the private hospital to get back the profit from its expensive equipment investments 😂

It is our job as taxpayers to find out why our tax money is not being used to provide good healthcare. Mangkuk punya politicians. You are now the government, provide better service to the rakyatlah. Why harp on private sector?
