FINALLY... A True DETAILED and explained "How to change your air filter" Other videos show the change, and Yes, I KNOW How Difficult the change can be, but during other "how to" videos they are Edited and then, like Magic the re-insert either has been done (not videod) or you see the last final push and you miss in seeing the real effort you use to change it... Yours Does NOT, THANK YOU🙌!!

So if its right hand drive, does that mean you'd have to do it wth the pedals in the way ?

I would hope they have everything mirrored on right have drive cars. Check the passenger side foot panel and see if it appears to be the same steps as this one but just flip flopped!

If you have a preferred scent you like. Not necessary though. Also don’t completely soak the filter with too much spray because the filter will become wet and get moldy.

You're lucky that you have it so easy. I've a set of taped up cables running in front of the air filter cover so now I'm struggling to get the filter past the cables. My main issue is that there is a single thin cable running to the dashboard but this has been taped to the main cluster and I don't feel too confident about separating the tape to disconnect the dashboard cable.

Can't those two adjacent cables be unplugged from the fuse panel in order to make more room to get the new filter in?

If you mean disconnecting those 2 big connectors, then that might help slightly, but unfortunately the top of the filter also hits on something 😂 just a little annoying is all

@@TonyTheTruckGuy I just changed my filter, and indeed unplugging those connectors made it significantly easier. They just swing out of the way, allowing the filter to line up much better with the slot.

Before you start you need to have a #5 torx screwdriver. If you’re going to remove the glove box too you’ll need a #20 as well. Other videos I’ve watched on this subject start with removing the glove box to open up the area. To do that you have to remove a flat piece from the end of the dash then remove five screws. You have to kind of pop the compartment loose but it slides right out once you do. It does make it easier to see things with the glove box removed but no less difficult to do. Getting the filter out is easy since you can just grip it and rip it but putting the new one in without damaging it is nearly impossible. Before you put the new one in give it a squeeze and watch it spring back-it will give you an idea of how far you can bend and squish it to get it in. If you’re buying one on Amazon spring for one with activated charcoal. It’s only a buck or two more and it does help control odors.

When you put the new filter in discard that screw. You dont need it. The plastic tabs will hold the cover in place.

That’s what I was tempted to do, it the little voice in the back of my head said “that cover is going to rattle and drive you nuts if you don’t put that screw back in” 😂
