Todos los apellidos vascos ha empezado a preparar su nueva temporada grabando con el tenor Plácido Domingo, el tenor de los tenores, la voz que recogió el aplauso más largo de la historia y que ha batido todos los récords en la ópera y la música clásica. El programa de ETB que presenta Olga Zabalgogeaskoa ha conseguido abrir un hueco en una agenda que se reparte entre Los Ángeles, Viena y Nueva York, y traerle a Gipuzkoa, la tierra de la que procede su madre, conocida en su día como la 'reina de la zarzuela': Pepita Embil.
De la mano del programa, Plácido Domingo revive capítulos de la vida de su madre que desconocía completamente y que le emocionarán muchísimo, se desnuda en una entrevista muy personal y deja momentos impagables. En Getaria, el pueblo donde pasó sus primeros veraneos, y en Aizarnazabal, podremos escuchar su impresionante voz cantando piezas que forman parte de su experiencia más íntima, como la serenata con la que enamoró a su mujer y convenció a su suegra de que podía ser un buen partido.
Para alguien tan acostumbrado a recorrer el mundo, éste ha sido el viaje más personal. Plácido abandona por un momento los mejores teatros internacionales para pisar la tierra del caserío solar de los Embil, el origen de su apellido materno, y desde ahí conocer las casas por las que fueron desplazándose sus antepasados en su ruta vital. Plácido Domingo agradece enormemente la experiencia que le conecta con el lugar de donde viene y vuelve a sus numerosos compromisos con su ADN vasco más vivo que nunca.
'Todos Los Apellidos Vascos' en esta nueva temporada va a tener, entre otros, como invitados al cocinero Eneko Atxa y también a los hermanos exfutbolistas Julio y Patxi Salinas.
El programa profundiza en las raíces y antepasados de cada uno de sus invitados, rastreando pequeñas historias familiares. 'Todos Los Apellidos vascos' se acerca de una forma diferente a la historia de Euskal Herria y sus gentes, no en genérico, sino con nombres y apellidos de los antepasados de sus protagonistas.

'Todos Los Surnames Vascos' in this new season will have, among others, as guests the chef Eneko Atxa and also the ex-footballers brothers Julio and Patxi Salinas.
The program delves into the roots and ancestors of each of its guests, tracing little family stories. 'All Basque Surnames' approaches the history of Euskal Herria and its people in a different way, not in generic terms, but with the names and surnames of the ancestors of its protagonists.

Hola joven amigo, que tal. Wonderful description to accompany this charming documentary about el Maestro's bloodline. It never fails to amaze me how integral to the manifest human is the double-helix of DNA. Of course, with the right essential ingredients in place, having the right family to nurture and guide how it matures is absolutely critical, if, that is, you hope to develop a legendary career. When I first saw this about a year ago now, it helped me understand better how he came to be the phenomenon that he is. Keep studying hard mon ami, a bientot!

Plácido ....Único ..que tenor tenemos en España....que voz maravillosa que Conciertos junto con nuestro otro Grandioso Tenor José Carreteras y el Gran Italiano ya fallecido Pavaroti.....no espero que en muchos años haya tres fenómenos de la Música con Mayúsculas.....que maravilla escucharlos ,se le quitan a uno todas las penas ....UNICOS...bravo.
