@@Rebellionrider I am coming from years of working with Sql Server, so Oracle is all new. I worked less with analysis and more in development, but I'd use both APEX Sql and Red Gate tools when available. Otherwise, I'd have to roll my own custom tools.

No, employees table is created inside the Sample Scheme HR. I have done videos on how to unlock HR schema in almost all the database versions that are available till now. Just serch "How to unlock HR in Oracle Database by Manish Sharma.

Most of the time I use tables from HR schema. Which is the sample schema, comes pre-install with the software. I have done a series of tutorial on how to connect with DB with schemas like SYS and HR. You can find them on my channel. p.s. Initially, these sample schemas are locked. In order to use them, you have to unlock them. Which you can do either while installing the software or after the installation (when needed). hey Manish first of all thanks a lot for this tutorial, and second i have a question, i ran my program without typing set serveroutput on and without the dbmx_output.putline as well , so i ran my code like this: declare v_server number(15); begin select server into v_server from wfm_lob where fmt_order =2; end; and even that in script output section it returned the same data as if i write my code like this: set serveroutput on; declare v_server number(15); begin select server into v_server from wfm_lob where fmt_order =2; dbms_output.put_line(v_server); end; why is that, im using toad oracle to run my codes, thanks in advance!

No, if you are setting the 'serverout on' explicitly then you should not have to worry about IDE. It should show you the output. I suggest you to test the code by putting multiple dummy output statements at different levels in your code and see what part of your code is causing the problem.

It's working fine at my end. Seems like you only want to see the output, not the entire script. Firstly whenever you run code in the script panel of SQL Developer it shows you the entire definition. If you only want to see the output then go to View and Select DBMS output (Make sure to add the same connection that you are using to run your code by clicking Green + Button) and then run your code.
