I always used an old ceramic saucer for sharpening scissors, your idea looks more efficient, thank you. Never cut toward yourself when using a knife, it could lead to some serious lacerations, an easier method of cutting notches would be to use a bench grinder, an angle grinder, or even a file. Instead of trying to tie a knot into your cotton, simply wind it stiffly around the wood and then apply some super glue whilst still holding the end of the cotton in your free hand, once the glue has been set, cut the loose strand off.

@@creationholic101 I understand that is true - however I believe the overall result was more likely a coincidence , considering how thin the spark plug tip was , by the time you had Finished the modification - I think a side bye side test would show - That the same result would have come from using the cut dawn poprivit . 🤔

Problem is people removing your comments because they can’t take getting told they’re a bit dull!!! I wonder how long this one will stay up for before it gets removed 5 or 10 minutes. The screw does absolutely nothing apart from stop the soldering tip from falling out and has absolutely nothing to do with heat transferring from the iron to the tip! What are we actually going to do if we have a global disaster with the sort of people and knowledge that they have got in their heads!! Humanity as a species is doomed with geniuses like the original poster of this reply left to replenish our species 👉🏼🤤💨🧠

Poor soldering technique. People who don't know how to solder bring the solder to iron, let it melt and then bring it to the point where the soldering needs to happen. That burns the flux away. Solder without flux will not give a good permanent soldering connection. Just saying.

lo de la soldadura es tonteria lo que a hecho que se suelde es porque puso estaño en la punta en hacer contacto con el otro estaño que no se ablandaba antes. Hace que se ablanda igualmente en hacer contacto con el estaño fundido y no la punta del soldador
