Wow, I wish they recorded another version of this song -- that sounded EXACTLY like this one....the chorus here is absolutely haunting!!!

Yeah I totally agree, they changed the song so much that they really should have made this a separate album track. I reckon it would have been great on their first album as an extra track, certainly not the first time bands and solo artists include different versions of tracks on their albums. Discovering this is truly like discovering a hidden gem. 'Hang On To Your IQ' is one of my favourite album tracks and I listen to it on repeat. I think maybe this version was too punk and controversial to be included on their first album, perhaps they felt it wouldn't blend in with the vibe of the album.

Yes it is. It's a demo of Hang On To Your IQ. So that's way it kind of different as the album version. I think this demo was made in 95 when Brian and Stefan started Placebo
