Great video, thank you!! I've had six farriers and they've all pulled their legs/hooves out of comfort zone or had them raised too high so of course my horses would fight back. Started trimming them myself (two drafts, one appaloosa/paint cross) and NO standing or playing footsy issues. My girls would of course fight for their legs as pain responses. Finding a good farrier is impossible to find in MN Twin Cities and now that I live in remote WI. Had to take measures into my own hands. Been on year two and zero issues at all. Even with my yearling.

Thank you. Great video. I had a farrier there to trim my mustang and she was very agitated. I want to practice- correctly- for the next time so that she is more comfortable. She picks up all hooves, but was upset with anything to do with the farrier work.

Was hoping to see you bringing the hoof forward for the roll. My horse’s foot always slides off.

Appreciate this! Do you have a video showing the fronts being brought forward to the Jack? Edit: Never mind, just found it on the hoof Jack website!

I've seen it done. Not good.

Look at the nose band of the rope halter. Way too low on the face. Rookie mistake.

Yeah. But that may have nothing to do with the farrier.
