I am a student at Thapar University, which is a tier 2 university in India. I am interested in a career in high-frequency trading (HFT). I know that you have made some videos on HFT firms, and in one of your videos you mentioned that these firms tend to prefer candidates from top tier colleges. I am wondering if you think it is possible for me to get a job at an HFT firm if I complete the online IIT Madras BS degree in data science and perform well. I am confident that I have the skills and aptitude to succeed in HFT, but I am aware that my college background may be a disadvantage. don't be sad mate but chances are very less and maybe impossible. At your position you can enter hft only by heavy research profile. Go for better higher studies and ace them.
