Thanks for this video. I'm looking to buy the MP-200 for my new Pro-ject X1 turntable. I would like to buy the exact pliers you used to connect the leads. I would appreciate any info you could give me as to where to buy them.

How did you know what the overhang was going to be? (18mm on the MA-505)

hi, i have used a custom arc template generator for cartridge alignment. it was print.

@@edSuwanDiyAudiophile: There are three commonly used geometrics used for aligning cartridges. If the protractor has a arc that coincides with the what the overhang will be (commensurate with the "effective length of the arm) perhaps you are good to go. It's possible to use an accurate protractor and nicely align the cartridge to two designated points on the arc and still not have the stylus set at the right overhang location. But, as you have indicated, if your template / protractor is custom, or specific to the TT, you may have an efficient system. Most protractors are generic. You set the overhang first, then align the cartridge to either Baerwald, Loefgren or Stevenson null points. Then you go back and check to see if your overhang point has moved. I once thought this was redundant until I watched a demonstration that showed otherwise. Then later I proved it to myself.

@@lornespry yes i do, individual template protactor be easy. Baerwald, Loefgren and Stevenson have a difference resulted. it became my basis for making a long tonearm. make tracking more linear between inner and outer. TT provides complex distortions with many factors. the ideal is Record / vinyl what is cut with a tonearm linear is played with a linear tonearm too. or if the cutting master is made by arc tracking it should be played with a tonearm that matches the type and original length.
