Always nice to see the Bakewell area where i grew up. Pity i wasn't a runner in those days. The tunnels weren't even there at the time either.

Lucky to grow up there - it’s a lovely area! Wow must’ve looked a lot different without the tunnels.

@@sambassett5 I think I meant to say the tunnels were blocked up so you couldn't walk through them. I'm sure they were there. I knew what I meant lol 😁👍🏻

The parkrun goes the extra half mile further down the trail from the station before heading back to Hassop. You've inspired us to do a long run out there in the summer.

Ah that would make sense. No chance of a negative split there without sandbagging! I’d forgotten to mention, the guys from Summat cafe in Bakewell were helping on long runs from around 9am on Sundays during the spring marathon block, might be worth checking in with them too if they’re still supporting with drinks and gels over the summer too.
