I love watching your submissions! Eugene does have an airport with great parking.
@xkernalsandersxАй бұрын
I don't believe it does any travel other than to major airports in the area, it's a regional airport so you can't just hop out of Eugene to Mexico as she was saying
@ADR-j9mАй бұрын
@@xkernalsandersx I don't leave the country very often. I live in Newport and for the trips I take, Eugene airport is more user friendly than PDX
@xkernalsandersxАй бұрын
@@ADR-j9m don't get me wrong, I love regional airports and try to fly into those over major international airports when I can
@SalemORАй бұрын
You're right that Eugene has an airport and that it's regional and not an international airport. I'll be more clear in my message next time to ensure people know the Eugene Airport (regional) doesn't fly internationally (at least not at this time). And that if people want to fly to internationally they will be 2 hours away from the nearest international airport which is in Portland (PDX). Thanks for the feedback!

If you're considering moving to Oregon from California, just don't. Keep driving north

A judge ruled that there must be public access to the lake, and therefore it is no longer considered a private lake. This place is so sleepy and slow-paced that the local police have nothing better to do than set up speed traps for anyone who dares to vroom above 25 mph. Oddly, Lake Oswego is where many affluent divorcees tend to reside. There are places in Oregon, just 20 minutes from a Trader Joe's, Costco, 24/7 Winco, Freddies, Market of Choice, Inn & Out (soon) and 25 minutes from PDX Airport, with no immediate adjacent neighbors, no HOAs, unincorporated (so no city taxes), and a forest for a backyard. My gosh, avoid such places at all costs!

I saw that! That has been such a battle, it's kinda crazy they actually came to a decision. I'll have to adjust my verbiage now in any future videos about Lake Oswego. Thanks for adding this as a comment for others to see. Much appreciated.

Salem is the perfect size city. We just need to avoid building so many apartments, that’s causing way to much traffic and we don’t want our city to become like Portland or LA. As you mention we like getting to places quick. It’s the capital and people got places to be.

Thanks for watching and sharing your perspective. Whats your favorite thing about living in Salem, OR?
@kythrathesuntamer9715Ай бұрын
For me out in Cornelius the constant frustration is that I've got reasons to try to make more friends in person and the best way to connect is often over Similar hobbies, I have a lot of ability to connect to those with alt taste in music due to being so into synth and industrial but like even the Coffin Club is like straight in Downtown proper, The Hackerspace I really want to visit is all the way out by the Airport, and I'm frustrated by how much doing any thing Hip that I'd be interested in doing would require me to go well out of my way to attend. I need new friends, I moved out of Florida and back home but I'm, isolated and away from everyone in person and my whole peer group is now internet friends.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. What do you think is one of the biggest differences between Florida and Oregon?
@KOrnhOliO1Ай бұрын
First off, the pollen in Eugene is because Eugene is located at the bottom of the Willamette Valley. A Valley all surrounded and closed in by mountains. So, when the main crop in the valley is GRASS, you get a massive pollen bloom of RAG WEED and other grasses! It's not the trees that cause all of the pollen, and make Eugene and other places in the Willamette Valley the pollen capital of the WORLD! IT'S THE FARMERS AND THEIR GRASSES! FACT. NOT THE TREES, THE GRASS! 💯👍🤣

@@SalemOR The trees. CO has trees in the foothills, but nothing like OR. Moss grows everywhere and on everything. How small the blocks are and how compact everything is in Portland. The lack of sun still gets me -- CO has 300 days of sun per year (sort of). Crime and homelessness are much larger problems, here than in CO. People are generally friendlier in PNW (despite crime and homelessness). I was shocked by this, at first -- CO is more standoffish.
