such an amazing video! as someone from halifax ive never been to Ottawa and going for the first time mid-june, to visit one of my best friends im very excited!! will be checking some of this out and definitely want to ride the Rideau canal since weather will be nice!!

It was so much fun. We had never really explored the Rideau Canal before this summer. There is so much to see and do on it!

What a nice trip! In the Summer, is the Rideau Canal crowd?

We did a trip in June and again in September. During our trip in September, there was hardly anyone on the waterway which was amazing. In June it was busier, but it never felt crowded. There are lots of places to stop overnight in towns or at locks and we never had a problem getting a slot. I assume July and August would be busier with local summer boaters, but Le Boat always has slots guaranteed for their boats which is awesome.
